Summary

I am submitting this complaint regarding an open safety recall on my vehicle, NHTSA Recall 25V721 (Manufacturer Recall 25SB5), which has been active since October 29, 2025. As of today, the recall remains incomplete and the manufacturer states that no remedy or parts are available, with no estimated timeline provided. The recall involves a potential issue where a front seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt may loosen or dislodge, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. According to the manufacturer, this condition may not be identifiable without an incident or collision. My concern is that: 1.The recall has been open for over three months with no interim remedy, inspection protocol, or mitigation guidance offered to owners. 2.The manufacturer has not provided clear written guidance on whether the vehicle is considered safe for continued operation while awaiting the remedy, beyond stating that parts are unavailable. 3.Owners are left in a prolonged state of uncertainty, despite the recall being classified as safety-related. 4.The lack of interim guidance or remedy availability is causing financial and practical hardship, as vehicles with open safety recalls are restricted from certain lawful uses, even when no symptoms are present. I am requesting that NHTSA review whether the manufacturer’s delay in providing a remedy—or interim safety guidance—meets expectations for timely resolution of a safety recall. I am also requesting that NHTSA encourage the manufacturer to provide either: •An interim inspection or mitigation procedure, or •Clear guidance on vehicle operability and risk while awaiting the final remedy. Thank you for your review of this matter.

This has been a recall for almost 2 yrs now and the dealer is saying no parts available. There are 1000s of RAM trucks driving around waiting for parts. A simple google search shows there are parts available on line. What is taking so long. This should have been resolved a year ago.

Vehicle Model: GRAND CHEROKEE L

Model Year: 2024

Summary

Component/System: Windshield/visibility system and possible body sealing or A-pillar water intrusion affecting interior and defrost performance. The condition is available for inspection upon request. Description of the problem and safety risk: I purchased a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Altitude. Within months of purchase, the vehicle began experiencing water intrusion inside the cabin, which has led to persistent interior moisture, fogging, and mildew odor despite multiple repair attempts over the past year. A significant safety concern occurs while driving: the interior of the windshield can fog or condensate suddenly and heavily enough to reduce forward visibility. When this happens, I must slow down and consider pulling over until visibility clears. The condition typically resolves within approximately 1–2 minutes but has occurred repeatedly during normal driving. Loss of clear windshield visibility while the vehicle is in motion creates a potential driving hazard for myself, my child passenger, and other motorists. Reproduction/confirmation: The condition has been reported to and evaluated by an authorized Jeep dealership during multiple service visits. Repairs have been attempted, including extensive interior disassembly to locate a water leak, but the problem has persisted. Inspection by manufacturer or others: The dealership and Stellantis (manufacturer) have been involved through warranty repair attempts and case review. An independent evaluation is being pursued to determine the root cause. Warning lamps or prior symptoms: No warning lamps or electronic messages appeared prior to the visibility impairment. Symptoms include interior moisture accumulation, mildew odor, and intermittent heavy windshield condensation while driving.

Vehicle Make: INFINITI

Vehicle Model: Q70L

Model Year: 2018

Summary

The Passenger Occupant Classification System in the passenger seat is showing an airbag code of B00A0-02 on my 2018 Infiniti Q70L . The dealer cannot clear that code. The only solution is to replace the entire seat bottom (leather/foam/all electronics for raising the seat) all integrated. That part number is 87300-6ar3a and sells for $2800 plus labor to replace, over $600. My 2018 Infiniti Q70L only has 10300 Miles, garage kept. This integrated design has been problematic for the Q70 and Q50. Cost to repair is enormous. Infiniti should acknowledge this issue. It is a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, because if not repaired the passenger airbag is permanently turned off and for a failure for a car with so few miles and meticulously kept, this is unacceptable. I have 2 of the Q70's and its a matter of time before the other vehicle show the same issue.
