SYMPTOM:

The customer may comment on the following:
● Air conditioning provides insufficient cabin cooling.

Air conditioning refrigerant leak

This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 24-003-25, date of issue August 23, 2025,
which should be removed from your files. All revisions are highlighted with **asterisks** and include
an updated part number.
This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-173,
date of issue August 23, 2025. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves performing an inspection and possibly replacing the evaporator piping to intermediate
connection.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
WARNING!
Mandatory PPE: Ensure you wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the
inspection, such as:
● Heat protection gloves.
● Safety glasses.
● Safety footwear.
● Appropriate clothing for the automotive environment.
1. Start the vehicle and activate the air conditioning system so that the air conditioner is engaged at minimum
temperature and maximum fan speed.
NOTE: Keep the hood open and keep the engine running for at least 20 minutes.
2. After 20 minutes of engine run time with the hood open, set the ignition to OFF.
3. Identify the evaporator piping to intermediate connection Fig. 1.

4. Inspect the evaporator piping to intermediate connection for evidence of ice or excessive condensation Fig.

5. Does the evaporator piping exhibit evidence of ice or excessive condensation Fig. 2?
● YES>>> Proceed to Step 6.
● NO>>> This bulletin has been completed, use Inspection LOP (24-45-21-90) to close the active RSU.
6. Replace the evaporator pipe. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library under: Service Info> 5040A88 - Tubulação Do Evaporador À Conexão Intermediária - R.R..
NOTE: For SA market only, after applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A.
