Some customers may comment on rear body structure stop lamp or rear closure signal

lamp may be totally inoperative or staying illuminated.
Cause
This may be caused due to software anomalies.

Before replacing any tail lamps, cycle the fuses based on the location of the failure. If the

lamp recovers, the failure is due to the software anomaly described above. Cycle the

following fuses based on the location of failure to reset and recover the lamp:

• If the left-hand tail lamp and/or applique lighting is inoperative, remove the F13RA in

the X53A Body Wiring Harness Junction Block – Rear fuse to reset the lamp(s).
Correction
• If the right-hand tail lamp is inoperative, remove the F9RA fuse in the X53A Body. Wiring Harness Junction Block – Rear fuse to reset the lamp(s)

If the lamp was recovered with cycling the fuses, please replace the affected lamp. If the

lamp was not recovered, please follow service information procedures to determine

cause of failure.

Important: Only replace lamps that were recovered with the cycling of the fuse.

applicable to the activities it performs under this bulletin, including but not limited to handling, deploying,

preparing, classifying, packaging, marking, labeling, and shipping dangerous goods. In the event of a

must follow those applicable laws.
