To ensure continued customer satisfaction and confidence, Nissan is conducting a quality action
on certain specific model year 2025 Nissan Frontier and Kicks vehicles identified in Service
Comm. This action updates the Monroney labels to reflect certain safety ratings issued by
NHTSA.
Dealers will replace original Monroney labels with corrected Monroney labels.
Nissan will send VIN-specific corrected labels to address affected vehicles in dealer inventory.
New labels will begin shipping via Federal Express Thursday, September 25, 2025. Dealers will
replace original Monroney labels with corrected Monroney labels.
Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned
and in transit to the dealer.
*****What Dealers Should Do*****
PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSTRUCTIONS:
1.

Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National
Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PD171 & PMA54
• New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle
Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).
 Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information

Some vehicles may still be in transit. Please continue to check newly arriving
inventory for applicability.

2.

Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in dealer inventory subject to
this quality action.

3.

Use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action prior
to sale.

4.

If you have exchanged or traded one of the affected vehicles to another Nissan dealer,
please forward the corrected Monroney label to the current dealer upon receipt so it can
be attached to the vehicle.
• If a vehicle has been retailed, dispose of the corrected Monroney label using the
same procedure as for destroying the original Monroney label.

5.

The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action
performed to close the campaign in Service Comm and release the vehicle.

Service Procedure
1. Obtain the new replacement Monroney label.


Verify the VIN on the new Monroney label matches the VIN of the vehicle.

NOTE:
 Each dealer will automatically be shipped the replacement Monroney labels.

IMPORTANT:
 A Monroney label must be installed on new vehicle inventory at ALL Times.
Do NOT remove the original Monroney label BEFORE installing the NEW
Monroney label.
Do NOT install the Monroney label onto the Drivers (LH) side Front window.




2. Install the NEW replacement Monroney label onto a passenger side window that
does NOT contain the original label.


Example: If the original Monroney label is installed on the Passenger Front
window, install the NEW replacement Monroney onto the Passenger Rear
window.

3. Remove the original Monroney label from the vehicle.


Using a permanent marker, draw an “X” over the entire label.



Tear the label into quarters and dispose of the label into a secure shred bin.
