Summary
Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rear "Liftgate And Tailgate Ajar" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) at all times and/or an inoperative power liftgate or tailgate. This may be due to a pinched harness under the 3rd row left-hand seat belt retractor bracket. Inspect the left-hand seat belt retractor bracket prior to starting tailgate and liftgate ajar diagnostics. If a harness pinch is identified, repair as necessary using the wiring and connector repair procedures contained in Cell 005 of the Wiring Diagram. For claiming, use causal part number 14C719 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D45WR.

Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rear "Liftgate And Tailgate Ajar" message in the
instrument panel cluster (IPC) at all times and/or an inoperative power liftgate or tailgate. This may be due to a
pinched harness under the 3rd row left-hand seat belt retractor bracket. Inspect the left-hand seat belt retractor
