The following DTC is stored in the Engine Electronics (diagnostic address 0001):

P26F500 (Coolant Pump "C" Control Circuit Low)
Technical Background
DTC P26F500: Coolant Pump "C" Control Circuit Low can bring a MIL on
The DTC logs due to an erroneous signal from the auxiliary coolant pump for heating
The signal is due to an over-sensitivity of the pump’s internal diagnostics
The part number affected is 971.121.601.A
The pump, engine and HVAC operations are not affected by this erroneous signal.
Please refer to the measure section for further instructions on how to rectify this issue

Service
1. Check the connectors and wiring to the pump for corrosion or damage, and confirm there is no coolant
ingress.
a. If there are signs of coolant ingress, raise a full technical DISS query and await further instructions
before proceeding
2. Confirm the part number of the pump fitted to the car
a. If the pump fitted to the car is 971 121 601 A, proceed to step 3
b. If the pump fitted to the car is 06D 121 601, raise a full technical DISS query and await further
instructions before proceeding
3. Replace the coolant pump as per ElsaPro instructions. Referring to Rep. Gr 19 - Auxiliary coolant pump
for heating (V488) – To remove and fit
4. Carry out a coolant system bleed once replaced as per ElsaPro instructions. Referring to Rep. Gr 19 –
