• HDEP launched with coolant level sensor p/n - 06-93316-000 &
p/n 06-96622-000 (superseded sensor).
• Used with 0013, DD 15, DD 16 in New Cascadia, Western Star X
Series, and M2+
• Resistance values for the coolant level very low and low are
numerically out of sequence
• Because the resistance bands are so tight with this sensor, any
time we have a poor connection (added resistance) in the
circuit, it resulted in a critical low fault code fault
• If the engine was programmed for shutdown, then the
engine would shutdown when there may not actually be
a low coolant level scenario

For testing the sensor, the float (06-93738-000) is available as a service tool
New (gray) sensor is NOT interchangeable w ith the prior (black) sensor➔ electrical connector on harness is keyed & color-coded for visual indicator

Installing the incorrect sensor will result in inaccurate readings (example: installing a black sensor in place of an original gray sensor would result in the CPC
never seeing a low coolant level status; gray in place of black would show persistent low coolant level fault)
