The procedure can be found in GFF under Functions/ Component Selection, Software Version Management,
Adapting Software.
Ensure attached ECM/TCM Tuning Form has been completed and signed by customer as required in SVM
Technical Bulletin Instance 2014603.
CAUTION
Only perform the below tank integrity test in self-diagnosis mode if the above software update was
completed during this diagnostic session. Otherwise, follow the test plan populated by the tester for DTC
P0456 within Guided Fault Finding.
STEP 3: Perform tank integrity test:
Under the Self-diagnosis tab: 0001 – Engine Electronics > Control module OBD > Basic setting > Fuel tank
integrity test > Add measured values IDE 07257 “tank pressure from leakage diagnosis, calculated” and IDE
05622 “Status of tank leak diagnosis with electrical diagnostic pump” > Start test.
The Test may take up to 15 minutes to complete. After starting test, status should change to “routine active”.
If routine or test plan ends successfully with “correct result” and software update was not required, this TSB
does not apply.
If routine or test plan ends successfully with “incorrect result” proceed to Step 4.
STEP 4: Inspect, and if necessary, replace purge line with -N80Focus special attention to the area circled in Figure 1.
Figure 1:
Figure 2 highlights two sections of the purge line from figure 1 that are prone to cracking.
Figure 2:
If a leak is found from the corrugated purge line (shown above) remove and replace the component.
If a leak is not identified from the corrugated purge line, further diagnosis is required. In this case, this TSB
no longer applies.
