Considerable Dust Development in the Area of the Front Underbody When the Radiator Fan is On
(107/25)

1

Model Line:

Macan (XAB)

Model Year:

As of 2024

Concerns:

Electric fan

Cause:

The customer complains about considerable dust development in the area of the front underbody when the
radiator fan is on.

Cause:

The warm exhaust air of the cooling system is discharged onto the road. This is essentially caused by the
downward inclined installation position of the radiator fan(s) in conjunction with the body air guides.
This can cause dust, sand or other road impurities to be stirred up under certain circumstances.

Action:

In the event of a customer complaint, inform the customer about the concept-related discharge of the warm
exhaust air of the cooling system to ensure the best possible cooling performance of the vehicle.
In the event of customer escalation, it is possible to install a newly developed, closed cover on the underbody
panelling (front cover) instead of the previous air guide.
This cover reduces the stirring up of road impurities.
