This bulletin informs dealers that Harley-Davidson has made a software update to Digital Technician II (DT II). DIGITAL TECHNICIAN II (PART NUMBER: HD-48650). New Software Update Version 26.1.5. Release Date: Week of December 15, 2025. NOTE: Software version (26.1.5) will need to be manually installed. Refer to bulletin M1713 for instructions. New Features, Changes: 2026 Revolution® Max Vehicles (RH975, RH975S, RH1250S, RA1250S, RA1250ST), 2026 Police Body Control Module (BCM), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). NOTE: Digital Technician II (DT II) supports additional Harley-Davidson motorcycle models and model years outside of those listed.

NOTE
The TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-TL3) supports
Controller Area Network (CAN) and J-1850 protocol vehicles.
• 6-pin CAN vehicles are recommended to use Techlink 3
(TL-3)
• All 2021 (and later) vehicles must use TL-3 (connects to Red
DLC on the vehicle)
• 4-pin (J-1850) vehicles are recommended to use TL-3. This
includes all Fuel Injected Harley-Davidson vehicles 2002
and later.
TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-TL3) will not support
Buell, VDO and Magneti Marelli vehicles (4-pin DLC). Support
for those vehicles is available via TECHLINK II (PART
NUMBER: HD-48650-1).
For dealerships with firewall implementation, the URLs below
need to be white listed:

• The TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-TL3) will
support CAN protocol vehicles (6-pin Data Link Connector
(DLC)) at launch. J-1850 protocol (4-pin DLC) support is
planned for early 2020.
• Techlink 3 will not support Harley-Davidson Buell, Vereinigte
DEUTA–OTA (VDO) and Magneti Marelli vehicles (4-pin
DLC). Support for those vehicles is available via TECHLINK
II (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-1).
• 2021 vehicles must use TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER:
HD-48650-TL3) (connects to Red DLC on the vehicle).
Digital Technician™ II
• The Digital Technician II software version updates are
automatic and occur while connected to the Internet.
• If an internet connection is lost, the download continues from
where it stopped.
• If the Digital Technician II software is open, the application
prompts the user to exit before the install can continue.
• All Digital Technician II software updates are deployed
automatically via the XMS agent software and require a
minimum model year software version (example: Model Year
2021 = minimum version v21.0).
