Dear Dealers,
We’re pleased to announce that participating Harley-Davidson
Riding Academy (HDRA) dealers can now sell de-fleeted H-D
X350 RA vehicles. This model can now be resold as a used
vehicle to consumers, after warranty expiration, and with specific
retrofits as outlined in Service Bulletin M1705, X350RA Retail
Conversion Kit.
To support your fleet refresh in 2026, your Retail Conversion
kit will be fully reimbursed via P&A credit to your dealership,
representing $226.95 dealer net value per kit.
Ordering a new X350 RA today enables you to de-fleet and
resell this Riding Academy training motorcycles (and H-D®
Street 500 models) for riders who want a small displacement
Harley-Davidson vehicle.
As you approach your fleet refresh in preparation for the 2026
training season, consider de-fleeting your motorcycles with a
fleet service longer than 24 months. Follow the de-fleet process
outlined in the Riding Academy NRC Operations Manual and
prepare Street 500 and X350 RA bikes for consumer resale as
early as January 2026.

Guidelines:

Q: How will the order and credit process work?

• Vehicles must be more than 2 years from SWR date in Riding
Academy fleet service, and the manufacturer's warranty
expired.

Place Your Order: Submit a ZLNK order for the conversion
kit.

2.

Eligibility Review: Harley-Davidson will review the order to
confirm that the vehicle qualifies for the conversion.

3.

Order Processing: Once approved, we will release your
order, ship the kit, and issue an invoice for $226.95.

4.

Credit Issuance: After invoicing, Harley-Davidson will apply
a manual credit to your P&A account to offset the charge.

• Retrofits that are defined in Service Bulletin M1705, X350RA
Retail Conversion Kit MUST be completed prior to vehicle
resale.
• An updated refleet policy can be found in the H-D Riding
Academy New Rider Course Operator’s Manual (exhibit A
of your Operators Agreement, found on H-Dnet).

VIN Approval Process:
• When ordering the service parts kit to perform pre-sale refits,
an authorization process will be required. Each Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN)-associated kit will be reviewed
for compliance with the de-fleet policy. Your order will be
fulfilled once the VIN is confirmed to have an SWR date 24
months prior to order date.

Please allow [30 business days] for credit processing after
shipment.
Q: What is the process for de-fleeting Riding Academy
training vehicles?

• The H-D X350 RA remains the primary training vehicle for
the H-D Riding Academy program.

Q: How long will it take to approve the VIN and ship the
refit parts kit?

de-fleet and resell smaller displacement motorcycles for new
riders right away, well in advance of availability of Sprint. As
outlined in the Operators Manual, the Riding Academy
training vehicles should not exceed 48 months in fleet
service.
Q: Can the H-D® Street 500 remain in the operational fleet?
• A: Retain a few Street 500s (XG500s) and associated Tall
Boy and Reach seats in addition to your compliant fleet to
accommodate taller- and shorter-statured riders.
Q: Will there be marketing support for this bike?
• A: As with any used motorcycle, use H-D Marketplace™ and
your website to support used inventory sales. No additional
marketing assets will be provided.
