SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED ACCORDING TO ACCEPTED INDUSTRY

STANDARDS AND LOCAL/PROPERTY REQUIREMENTS.
PROCEDURE:

1. Set parking brake and place wheel chocks underneath the front wheels.

2. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position. Turn the rear run selector switch to the “OFF”

position. Refer to Figure 1.

3. Open curb side and rear engine compartment access doors and locate the HVAC compressor.

4. Relocate existing bracket of the oil collection tube from the streetside of the HVAC compressor to the

curbside of the compressor. Reorient oil collection tube as shown below.

5. Join existing oil collection tube to new tube contained in collection bottle kit by using a straight brass fitting

(PN 1146249). Refer to Figure 4.

6. Using bracket (PN 904661) as a template, mark and drill 0.391” diameter hole (25/64 drill bit) in structure at

the location shown on Figure 5 below.

7. Install threaded insert (PN 522558) by using a manual or pneumatic rivnut gun.

8. Secure bracket to the structure with ¼-20x1.00” SST bolt (PN 20B04016), flat washer (PN 50W04000). Refer

to Figure 6.

9. Secure new tube to the bracket with a P-clamp (PN 247217), ¼-20x1.00” SST bolt (PN 20B04016), 2 ea. flat

washer (PN 50W04000) and nut (PN 42N04000). Refer to Figure 7.

10. Using the oil collection bottle bracket (PN 1146081) as a template, mark and drill 0.391” diameter holes

(25/64 drill bit) in structure at two locations as shown below.

11. Install two threaded inserts (PN 522558) by using a manual or pneumatic rivnut gun.

12. Secure bracket.to the structure with 2 ea. ¼-20x1.00” SST bolt (PN 20B04016) and 2 ea. flat washer (PN

50W04000). Refer to Figure 9.

13. Secure oil collection bottle to the bracket. Apply Loctite-243 thread locker (PN 081034) to the first two threads

of the bolt supplied with the oil collection bottle kit. Discard lock washer and brackets came with the kit. Refer

to Figure 10.

14. Connect new hose to the oil collection bottle.

15. Check for completeness of the work.

16. Remove all tools and debris from work area to return coach to service.

17. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
