SUBJECT:

This TSB supersedes 24-BD-008G-1 to update the Subject, Parts Information, and Service
Procedure with a new drain hose plug kit consisting of 2 plugs. The gluing of the drain hose to
the plug has also been removed from the Service Procedure.

 IMPORTANT
Retailers must perform this field action on all affected vehicles within 5/60,000 New Vehicle Limited
Warranty (NVLW) prior to retail delivery to a guest and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop
for any maintenance or repair. See Warranty Information section for more details.
Access the “Vehicle Information” screen via WebDCS to verify “Warranty Start Date” and ensure the
vehicle is within NVLW, observing mileage prior to any repair work.
Description: Certain GV70 (JK1) and GV80 (JX1) vehicles may exhibit water leakage inside the vehicle
due to the sunroof drain hose plugs being clogged with foreign material or a water gurgling noise from
the sunroof while driving in the rain. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to replace the front sunroof
drain hose plugs and modify the rear drain hose plugs by cutting off a portion at the end.

Open the front door and remove the front door
body side weatherstrip (B).

Remove the crash pad side cover (C).
! CAUTION
Wear gloves to prevent hand injuries.

NOTICE
Use a plastic trim removal tool when
removing components to prevent
damage.
Be careful NOT to bend or scratch
components during removal.

Disconnect the crash pad lower panel
connector (E) by pressing the locking pin.

plug underneath the crash pad and behind the
Integrated Central Control Unit (ICU) (I).
