Summary
During quality checks, it has been determined that the #A60036084000 - Double Pin Actuator on the rear cylinder head and on the front cylinder head may malfunction on the above vehicles. In order to prevent a possible malfunction, KTM instructs the replacement of the installed #A60036084000 - Double Pin Actuator with the improved component #A60036084100 - Double Pin Actuator.

BASIC INFORMATION:
During quality checks, it has been determined that the #A60036084000 - Double Pin Actuator on the rear
cylinder head and on the front cylinder head may malfunction on the above vehicles. In order to prevent a
possible malfunction, KTM instructs the replacement of the installed #A60036084000 - Double Pin Actuator
with the improved component #A60036084100 - Double Pin Actuator.
Dealers must replace front and rear cylinder head Double Pin Actuator on all affected motorcycles in their
inventory prior to any customer delivery. Please contact all of your customers who own affected motorcycles to
have the Double Pin Actuator replacement procedure performed.
PROCEDURE FOR REPAIR:
We shall not provide a description of general workshop methods. Likewise, safety rules that apply in a workshop
are not specified here. It is assumed that the repair work will be performed by a fully trained mechanic who has
completed training or has a corresponding qualification. In the event of uncertainty, the most recent repair
manual must be consulted.

Replacing the double pin actuators on the front and rear cylinder heads:
REPLACING DOUBLE PIN ACTUATORS (DPA) (1)
Preparatory work
– Remove the passenger seat.
– Remove the front rider's seat.
– Remove the spoilers.
– Remove the fuel tank.
– Remove the air filter box.
Removing the Air Filter Box
Main work
– Unplug connector, Intake Air Temperature (1).
Release the cable.
– Release the vent hose spring clamp.
– Pull off the vent hose (2).
– Open clamps (3).
– Remove the upper part of the air filter box.

– Remove air filter (1).
– Unplug connectors, Fuel Injectors (2).
– Remove screws (3).
– Disconnect fuel connection (4).
– Take off the fuel line.
Info: Under no circumstances should dirt enter the fuel line.
Dirt in the fuel line clogs the injection valves!
– Remove screws (5).
– Remove the intake trumpet.

– Remove spring band clamp (6).
Spring band clamps plier (60029057100)
– Pull off the SAS hose.
– Pull off vent hose (7).
– Expose and disconnect plug-in connector,
Injector sub harness (8).
– Lift the lower part of the air filter box carefully.
The Double Pin Actuators are now accessible.
New Replacement Double Pin Actuators Are:
Prefilled with oil.
Ready to install
Torque M5 to 5Nm

Motorcycle History search in KTM Dealer.net to determine if it’s affected. If the motorcycle is affected,
