Lubricate the LST Controller Seals

This instruction refers to other documents that are necessary to do the procedure.
Situation

The seals may not have been installed using the specified amount of grease as defined in the

quality procedures.
Action

Lubricate the seals to ensure that it is installed with the correct amount of grease specified in

this technical service.

WARNING

Always refer to the manufacturer’s safety data sheet for the chemicals and use

the necessary PPE. The chemicals can cause injury or death.

Prepare

1. Open the rear hood with the key fob or from the center console.

2. Disconnect the 12 V system, refer to WOM-00082.

3. Find the LST unit. It is installed on the rear of the LST gearbox.

Kit
Remove

1. Remove the zip tie
from the heat shield
for the LST control unit.
6×
2. Unlock 6× snap fasteners

from the heat shield

to remove it from the LST wiring

harness.

3. Discard the zip tie.

4. Disconnect the X256A

and the X256B

connectors from the LST control unit.
4.1 Use a plastic pry tool to press the lock of the connector. Then move the handle to

disconnect the connector from the LST control unit.

Lubricate the Seals

1. Remove the seal
carefully from the connector X256A.
XXX-XXX-XXXX
2. Do a check of the seal and make sure that there is no damage.

º If the seal is damaged, submit a KATS ticket to contact Koenigsegg and order a new

seal.

If

the seal is not damaged, continue with the next step.

º

3. Put on the personal protective equipment.

4. Clean the seal carefully with water, mild detergent and a cloth.

5. Lubricate the seal with a small quantity of grease. Make sure that the all the surfaces of the

seal have a full, thin layer of grease.

Consumable: Krytox GPL-105

WARNING

Make sure that the seal is correctly installed. If the seal is incorrectly installed

water can leak into the connector. This can cause damage to the vehicle or

injury to the persons.

6. Install the seal to the connector.

Note

Make sure that you put the seal in the groove. All corners of the seal must align with

the corners of the connector.
7. Remove the seal

carefully from the connector X256B.

8. Do steps 2 thru 6 to clean and lubricate the seal

Install

1. Connect the X256A

and the X256B

connectors to the LST control unit.

2. Make sure that the connectors are correctly connected to the LST control unit.

WARNING

Make sure that the seals are correctly installed. If the seals are incorrectly

installed water can leak into the connectors. This can cause damage to the

vehicle or injury to the persons.

3. Do an inspection to make sure that the seals are not deformed or pushed out from the

groove.

4. Install the heat shield to the LST wiring harness and lock 6× snap fasteners.

5. Install the zip tie to the heat shield.
