The EV vehicle high voltage battery might lose 1% of battery charge per month when not in use (even in extreme conditions). In order to maintain battery life, a periodic charge is required.

IMPORTANT
When receiving a vehicle for service:
Always lookup the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the Knowledge Center to check for pending campaigns or
alerts.
Always connect the vehicle to the BRP diagnostic software (BUDS) to ensure all required updates are performed.

DESCRIPTION
The EV vehicle high voltage battery might lose 1% of battery charge per month when not in use (even in extreme conditions). In
order to maintain battery life, a periodic charge is required.
ACTION
In order to prevent critical discharge, recharge the high voltage battery to 30% to maintain battery performance.
NOTE
It is good practice to ensure a periodic charge to no more than 30%. The battery voltage should be maintained at all
times during storage between 20% and 30% state of charge in order to keep the HV battery in good running condition.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
1. Have the unit in an area where the temperature is above 5°C (41°F).
2. Open glove box.
3. Remove the driver's seat retaining screws (Torx T25).
4. Remove the driver's seat.
5. Remove and fully recharge the 12V battery and connect to unit.
NOTE
The 12V battery is necessary to wake up HV system.
6. Remove and keep the protective caps on both First Responder Cut Loop (FRCL) connectors.

7. Connect the FRCL connectors to the vehicle main harness.
8. Set the key to the ON position.
9. Connect EVSE to unit and set charge to 30 % through cluster (30% Option).
10. Once the charging level is obtained, disconnect EVSE.
11. Turn unit OFF.
12. Disconnect the FRCL connectors from the vehicle main harness.
13. Reinstall the protective caps on both First Responder Cut Loop (FRCL) connectors.
14. Disconnect the 12V battery from the unit.
15. Reinstall the driver's seat.
16. Reinstall the driver's seat retaining screws (Torx T25).
NOTE
It is your responsibility to maintain the battery at a minimum charge level to prevent critical damage. Battery
damage sustained from not observing the instructions in this bulletin will not be covered under warranty.
NOTE
Please open a technical case if for some reason the High Voltage battery has reached 0%.
