SERVICE BULLETIN

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mechanical Requested Dress Code

WARNING:

 Dress properly to avoid personal injury and damage to the

vehicle

Always wear protective clothing

Do not wear any worn or loose-fitting clothing

Remove jewelry before starting to work

In case of long hair, use hairnet

The illustration on the left shows some of the correct and

incorrect clothing

 Sharp edged items should be avoided in order not to

scratch vehicle (i.e. belts, watches, necklace)










2. Protect Seats when Mechanic Starts Working
 Seats, trimming, upholstery stuff and carpeting should be

protected with appropriate coverings.
3. Welding on the Chassis

a. Always disconnect the batteries (starting with the negative lead).

b. Disconnect the connectors of electrical and electronic equipment (electronic control

units, sensors and actuators) if they are less than 2 meters away from the chassis

part to be welded or the earth terminal of the welding equipment.

c. The earth terminal should never be attached to vehicle components such as engine,

axles and springs. Arcing on these parts is not permitted, because of the risk of

damage to bearings, springs, etc.

d. The earth terminal must make good contact and be placed as close as possible to

the part to be welded.

e. Plastic pipes, rubber parts and parabolic springs should be well protected against

welding spatter and temperatures higher than 70°.

f. The contact switch must not be in the accessory or contact position. The contact key

should be removed.

g. Reconnect in reversed order of disconnecting. Ensure that a good earth connection

is made between chassis, engine and cab.

HARDWARE (HARNESS) APPLICATION

Application to be made in the Relay Panel Area


Open the vehicle's relay panel area.

SERVICE BULLETIN

1) Cut 2 meters from cable number 9401-372.

2) Using a crimping tool, connect the 9402-78Y terminal to one end of the white cable

numbered 9401-372 and the TH992002Y terminal to the other end.
3) Connect the terminal of cable number 9401-372 to the empty pin of fuse number 100BH

located in the relay panel area.

4) Open the compartment containing the transition sockets in the luggage area on the relay

panel side of the vehicle.
5) Pass cable number 9401-372 through the slotted spiral. Pass the cable you connected to

the fuse through the gaps shown in the images below to the area where the transition

sockets are located. Remove the sealant from the gap opening into the luggage

compartment so that the cable can pass through.

Remove the white plug from the pin connected to the SP-08 cable (blue) in the F.BODY

labeled socket in this area. Connect the end of the numbered 9401-372 cable, with the

9402-78Y terminal to this pin.
6) Using a crimping tool, attach terminal 9402-96Y to one end of numbered 9401-372 3 meter

cable and terminal 9402-78Y to the other end.
7) Open the cover on the dashboard area of the front door of the vehicle. Find the socket

labeled F.BODY in this area.

Connect the end of the numbered 9401-372 cable you connected to terminal 9402-78Y to

the pin to which the SP-08 numbered cable is connected in this socket.

Numbered RP554159 Cable Harness


Remove the cover section under the dashboard by unscrewing the screws.
1) Locate the vehicle connection wiring for the rearview camera numbered HD554131Y

located in the front body area.

2) Find the RP999155 cable that connects to the camera, and disconnect the socket connection shown in the

diagram between the RP999155 and HD554131Y 6 pin S-Video Connector.
3) Disconnect the BNC connector of cable number HD554131Y from the Multiviu.
4) Disconnect the 4-pin socket connected to the vehicle wiring harness for cable number

HD554131Y.

The harness numbered HD554131Y will be scrapped.
5) Disconnect the power cable connected to the pin 2 of socket 9460-573 and isolate it on the

vehicle.

6) Take the numbered 9401-372 cable, which you previously connected to pin SP-08 in the

socket labeled F.BODY in the front door dashboard area, and route it from the front door

dashboard area to the steering wheel lower area through the slotted spiral, using the gap

shown in the image below.
7) Connect the end of the numbered 9401-372 cable connected to terminal 9402-96Y to pin 2

of socket 9460-573, which is connected to the vehicle wiring harness of cable HD554131Y.

8) Find the RP999155 cable on the device that connects to the camera. Connect the socket

connection shown in the figure between the RP999155 and RP554159, 6 pin S-Video

Connector.
9) Connect the four-pin socket numbered 929504-1 of the harness numbered RP554159 to

the socket numbered 9460-573.

10) Connect the BNC connector to the BNC input on the Multiviu.
11) Insert the 3A fuse into the 100BH fuse slot on the fuse panel.
