Summary
Some vehicles may exhibit a key-in lock situation when the speed-sensitive door lock activates unexpectedly while idling in the P-range. This may be caused by the noise generated by the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) wheel speed sensor being mistakenly recognized as a vehicle speed pulse. To eliminate this concern, the IC chip in the ABS wheel speed sensor has been modified.

DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a key-in lock situation when the speed-sensitive door lock activates unexpectedly while idling
in the P-range. This may be caused by the noise generated by the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) wheel speed sensor
being mistakenly recognized as a vehicle speed pulse. To eliminate this concern, the IC chip in the ABS wheel speed
sensor has been modified.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Replace the ABS wheel speed sensors (contained in HARNESS, EPB) on both sides of the rear wheels according to
the procedure in MGSS.
• CX-90 (REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
• CX-70 (REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
3. Verify the repair.
