Customer findings verified in the workshop with the following DTC are stored in the driver’s door electronics
(diagnostic address 0042) and/or passenger door electronics (diagnostic address 0052):
•
B148754: Window regulator motor no basic setting (passive/sporadic) Symptom: 196660
And
•
B148713: Window regulator motor open circuit (passive/sporadic) Symptom:196661
Technical Background
The affected door control module intermittently loses its basic settings or experiences communication faults
with the window regulator motor. This prevents the one-touch open/close function from operating correctly.
The stored DTCs indicate that the module cannot maintain calibration or detect the motor reliably, resulting
in sporadic failures. Refer to the measure section for the required repair instructions.

CAUTION
For vehicles using a 48v system, please refer to "48v system — safety precautions" before working on this
system. → Rep. Gr. 27 On vehicles with a 48V system the 12V battery and the 48V battery support each
other, therefore the 48V system must be deactivated. Refer to "48v system — To activate and deactivate"
→ Rep. Gr. 27 The 48v system must only be activated and deactivated by suitably qualified personnel
NOTICE
Raise a full Technical DISS query to product support second level. Write the number of this TPI 2080489/*
in the field " workshop findings". Await response for approval of replacement of the affected door control
module.
For replacement of the affected front door control module with a new, approved part. Refer to the steps
below.
Removal
•
Disconnect the batteries.
Refer to "Battery - Disconnect and connect" . → ElsaPro Rep. Gr. 27
•
To access the affected front door control unit, Remove the relevant front door trim panel.
Refer to "Front door trim panel - To remove and fit" . → ElsaPro Rep. Gr. 70
•
Remove the affected front door control unit
Refer ‘’Front door control unit (J386, J387) – To remove and fit’ → ElsaPro Rep. Gr. 70
Installation
•
Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
•
Torque tighten all fixings.
•
Carry out a Guided Fault Find as instructed in "Diagnostic system — Guided fault finding/component
replacement" → ElsaPro Rep. Gr. 97
NOTICE
When renewing the Drivers front or Passenger front door control -J386/J387- , the ‘Replace’ test must be
completed.
Right click on 42 Door Electronics Drivers Side or 52 Door Electronics Passenger Side (whichever was
replaced).
