DESCRIPTION

Engine replacements for all International engines will need to follow this procedure.


FACTS

1. For new engines sent from the engine group, please put the OLD and NEW 14-digit Engine Serial Number off the engine blocks in a

case file response. See IK3000111 for instructions on how to open a case file.

a. Some engines may need to be set up in our Engine Database. This may take up to 24 Hours. We will provide programming

instructions once the ESN has been set up in our system.

b. After programming is completed. We will forward the case file back to the Engine Group for Completion.

2. When you order a reman engine, you need to order the same horsepower. If you want to go to a higher horsepower, please open an

iKNow case file for Vehicle Programming and request a horsepower increase, but let us know you are going to be replacing the entire

Engine. Please look at iKNow IK2600069 for help with opening an iKNow case file for a Horsepower Request.

3. If you swap engines from a different truck. You need to stay in the same model year and try to stay with the same horsepower.
EXCLUSIONS

International cannot provide programming if an older engine is installed in place of a newer engine. Per the EPA, this is an

emissions violation. See the EPA website for more information.

International cannot support installing a Cummins engine to replace an International engine that was removed.

International can only support engines and horsepower ratings that were available for any given vehicle when it was built. International cannot support

engine types or horsepower ratings that were not available for a vehicle when it was built.
