Customer states:

The customer complains that the air conditioning system in the vehicle is not working at all and/or is only working
insufficiently.

The vehicle interior is not cooled at all or is only cooled insufficiently.
The AC button is flashing.

Technical Background

When replacing an O-ring in the vehicle’s air conditioning system, it is essential to know in which location the
damaged O-ring was fitted so that further component analysis can be performed.

Production Solution

Service

Please document at which location the O-ring was damaged. For this, we require the part number of the
corresponding line and/or the corresponding component where the O-ring was fitted and where the damage
occurred. Information about the connection between the components and the O-ring would also be helpful. This
should likewise be as precise as possible.

This information should be documented in TAC in the field for additional information on workshop findings.

Try to reproduce the customer complaint (based on the description/cause of the issue), so that it can be
clearly assigned to this TSB. The following repair must only be carried out if all the criteria (model/type,
chassis number, engine/motor, gearbox code, PR number(s), part number, software version, code, etc.)
apply exactly. Otherwise, this solution will not eliminate the problem and repeat repairs may be
necessary. In such a case, the warranty claim may be rejected, and the cost of the parts may be charged
back.

When billing, please always attach photos that clearly show the complaint to DOC-IT. To ensure a reference to the
vehicle, the image/video must:

* — Include the VIN and date.
* Must not be edited.
* Should be in focus and taken with sufficient light. A high resolution is not necessary.

If appropriate, please mark the location of the problem so that parts analysis has a clear reference to the complaint.
Please ensure that the photo documentation does not show any people and/or face, license plates, or customer
data.

Warranty

If you are billing Audi Warranty according to the warranty guidelines, please use the appropriate PID and damage
code for the o-ring replacement.
