General information:
If a vehicle has already been updated partially using a code and an error occurred during the update, do not attempt
to repair the vehicle via "SVM - Check vehicle configuration”.
Please make absolutely sure to observe the information displayed on the tester before sending a support request.
1) Displayed on ODIS tester:
0x0009 Control module in after-run
Complaint:
Programming conditions not met
Solution:
Erase event memory and perform update again without switching ignition off and on again.
2) Complaint after update:
None
Complaint:
Rear lid closes without power latching system after a successful update.
Solution:
Please note the information in TSB 2080580, 55 Rear lid does not close properly after software update.
3) Displayed on ODIS tester:
8118 and possibly fault message SDB20FOE (control module cannot be reached) (diagnostic addresses 00C5 and
8132)
Complaint:
Flashing aborted for onboard supply control unit (DAQOC5)
Solution:
Replace onboard supply control unit, commission control unit, perform software update
4) Displayed on ODIS tester
8118 Diagnostic addresses (062A and 062B)
Solution:
Please note the information in TSB 2080352, 69 PSS Reversible belt tensioners cannot be reached identified in
event memory SVM error code 8118.
5) Displayed on ODIS tester:
8024
Solution:
An incorrect SVM code was entered. Please note that multiple SVM codes are available (distinction between PPE
and PPC).
6) Complaint after update
Displayed on ODIS tester:

Complaint:
Message in instrument cluster: Adaptive cruise assist currently unavailable
Solution:
After the update, all vehicle doors and the rear lid must be opened and closed once.
7) Displayed on ODIS tester:
8118 and possibly fault message SDB20F0E (control module cannot be reached)
Diagnostic address(es) with general error. (It may not be possible to reach the diagnostic addresses listed in the
vehicle. Check communication with diagnostic address and, if necessary, switch ignition off and on again or wait for
a bus sleep cycle):
DA -— control unit name
Complaint:
One or more control units log on incorrectly or cannot be reached (only applies when SVM code is entered for the
first time).
Solution:
Please attempt to restore communication capability via GFF. If this is not successful, please open a ticket with the
Technical Assistance Center (TAC) (IMPORTANT: code on affected control unit).
8) Displayed on ODIS tester:
The following event has occurred:
8060 or
8096
Complaint:
Possible causes: lost configuration after a software update or control units which can no longer be reached due to a
software update.
Solution:
Perform bus sleep cycle (at least 15 minutes) and then repeat procedure using SVM code.
9) Displayed on ODIS tester:
9024 or ODS1008E
Connection
Negative response from server
Complaint:
When the GSB bus times out, the ODIS-S tester makes four attempts to establish the connection.
Solution:
Perform update again. If this is unsuccessful, please contact TAC.
10) Complaint after update
Displayed on ODIS tester:

Complaint:
Vibration of the steering wheel during the flashing procedure is a normal occurrence. If the steering wheel still
vibrates after the update has been completed, please refer to the TSB specified below.
Solution:
Refer to TSB 2076547, 48 General information on flashing procedure (vibrating steering wheel).
11) Displayed on ODIS tester:
File transmission freezes for longer than 5 minutes. ODIS tester displays message about this for longer than 5
minutes.
Complaint:
The data required for the software update cannot be downloaded from the workshop server (EdgeBox). This is
generally caused by a firewall setting on the workshop tester.
If this error occurs for the first time, please check the firewall settings (refer to campaign description) and enter the
code again.
Solution:
Please check the EdgeBox and firewall settings with the help of your IT administrator and configure the firewall in
accordance with the ODIS release notes. In particular, it is necessary to enable port 8080.
12)Displayed on ODIS tester:
Error codes:
8060, 8118, 8125, 8090, SDB20FOE (control module cannot be reached) (diagnostic addresses 8117 and 006C)
Complaint:
Flashing aborted at diagnostic address O06C; diagnostic address 8117 can no longer be reached
Solution:
Please note the information in TSB 2080613, 00 Workshop info: irregularities when performing KD2 combined
software update on diagnostic address 8117+006C - PPE/PPC.
13)Displayed on ODIS tester:

Complaint:
Multiple electric exterior door handles can no longer be reached after flashing is aborted.
Solution:
Please note the information in TSB 2080648, 57 One or more electric exterior door handles cannot be reached
during KD2 update.
