Service

Please perform the software update described in TSB 2079690, 00 Combined software update 03.10.00/C
(28.13.01) KD2.

If TSB 2079690 is not available, or if the complaint persists after the update, or if the vehicle is MY26, you can use
the following information to help narrow down the cause of a complaint about the loose wheel warning or tire
pressure. It is not always necessary to perform all the steps, but the following points can be helpful when processing
the complaint (This TSB number cannot be used for billing labor time):

Update the vehicle to the latest software version (perform campaigns or other TSBs).
Check addresses 812C and 0003, and 0065 (if available) for relevant DTCs.

lf DTCs have been logged for individual wheels or all four wheels, performing wheel balancing or swapping
wheels over may help.

Check that the speed sensors and sensor rings for the affected wheel are clean and working correctly.

If there are problems with the availability of the system, the issues in the vehicle should be corrected
according to Guided Fault Finding.

Always make sure that addresses 812C and 0003 are functioning correctly.

Check DTCs in other control units and specific further TSB available (2078345) which are possible causes of
issues with the loose wheel warning in terms of the chain of effects or based on a message in the instrument
cluster.

Loose wheel warning and tire pressure messages are often a result of other issues with the vehicle, therefore
the main cause should be rectified first.

Manual. Claims are subject to review or audit by Audi Warranty.

When performing the combined software update, time stamps are not required for billing under warranty. You are
therefore permitted to work on other vehicles at the same time. The combined software update can also be
performed by non-productive personnel.
