Summary
Owner Notification Letter - During the manufacturing process of the rear electric drive module (eAxle), the mounting nut may have been improperly torqued or misaligned, potentially resulting in a loose or cross-threaded condition. This condition could lead to fluid leakage from the rear drive module, accompanied by a whine noise, possibly leading to a loss of driving force.

Product Update: 2024 ZDX Rear Electric Drive Module (eAxle) Replacement
Dear FIRSTNAME LASTNAME:
What is the reason for this Product Update?
During the manufacturing process of the rear electric drive module (eAxle), the mounting nut may have
been improperly torqued or misaligned, potentially resulting in a loose or cross-threaded condition. This
condition could lead to fluid leakage from the rear drive module, accompanied by a whine noise, possibly
leading to a loss of driving force.
What will Acura do?
Please call any authorized Acura dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for
FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that the total replacement process
may take approximately 5 to 7 hours. However, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the
overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period
of time. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers of this
important information.

What to do if you feel this notice is in error
Our records show that you are the current owner or lessee of a 2024 ZDX involved in this product update.

Durante el proceso de fabricación del módulo de propulsión eléctrica trasera (eje eléctrico), es posible
que la tuerca de montaje haya sido mal apretada o desalineada, lo que podría resultar en una condición
suelta o roscada cruzada. Esta condición podría provocar una fuga de fluido del módulo de transmisión
trasero, acompañado de un ruido agudo, posiblemente resultando en una pérdida de fuerza de
conducción.
