INTRODUCTION
Vehicles equipped with the System Updates application are capable of downloading and installing Over the Air System
updates (OTA). A connection to a Wi-Fi network is needed to perform the update over the air.
System updates contain upgrades that fix operational errors and/or provide a variety of enhancements, which adds new
functionality. Information about the various software releases can be found in this document.

Do I need to connect to Wi-Fi to perform an Over the Air (OTA) System Update?
Yes, it is necessary to connect the vehicle to a Wi-Fi network to perform over-the-air updates. To connect to a Wi-Fi
network, follow these steps:
1. Go to the HOME screen on the audio display screen by pressing the HOME button.
2. Select General Settings.
3. Select Connections.
4. Select Wi-Fi.
5. Select Change Mode.
6. Select Network.
NOTE:
• When the mode is changed from Smartphone Connection to Network, a pop-up appears; select Confirm.

Select the desired Wi-Fi network.
To download updates automatically, check Use This Network to automatically download system updates.

Select Connect.
A password may be required.

How do I check for an available OTA System Update?
Follow these steps to check for an available Over the Air (OTA) System Update:
1. Go to the HOME screen on the vehicle display audio screen by pressing the HOME button.
2. Select the System Updates application.
3. Select Check for Updates.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete any available updates.

Will any functions be unavailable during an OTA System Update?
Some functions will not work during the update process. Perform all updates while parked in a safe location.
Can a dealer perform the OTA System Update for me?
Yes, you can schedule an appointment with your dealer to complete the OTA System Update. The dealer may apply a
service charge to perform the update.
How do I check the software version currently installed in my vehicle?
Use the following procedure to confirm the version and update status. Press the HOME button.
1. Select System Updates.
NOTE: If System Updates are not displayed on the home screen, select All Apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Version Status.
