Targa Roof Convertible Top Cover Damaged at the Rear Outer Corner (112/25)

Information:
The customer is complaining about damage to the
convertible top cover on the Targa roof at the rear outer
corner. ⇒ Damage to convertible top cover (example

Cause:
In rare cases, contact between the door window pane and the convertible top cover can occur during the
opening and closing process of the vehicle door due to a low level of the convertible top (Targa roof).
In addition, a door window pane that is not optimally adjusted can also lead to the above-mentioned
complaint.
Action:
In the event of a customer complaint and before replacing the convertible top cover, check the position of
the convertible top (Targa roof) and the setting of the affected door window pane at the front and adjust it if
necessary.

Information
Once the correct position of the convertible top (targa roof) and proper adjustment of the affected door
window pane are ensured, the damaged convertible top cover can be replaced.
This is the only way to ensure that damage does not occur again.
In the course of removing the convertible top cover, the
rear seal must be checked and also replaced if there
