Summary
Under certain conditions the warning message shown to the right can be activated in the driver display when both the brake lamps and a turn signal are activated at the same time. The cause of this issue has been identified as the unique Federal rear lamp combined position/brake/turn indicator configuration. Even with this message displayed, the tail lamp and turn signal should work as intended. Fit the tail lamp link harness between the connectors. Repeat the procedure on the right-hand side rear tail lamp. Put the vehicle into active or driving mode and activate the brake lamps and turn signals at the same time to ensure that the warning massage does not appear in the driver display before refitting the wheel arch liners and rear wheels.

TITLE
Fitment of tail lamp link lead harnesses to prevent indicator warning message activation.
REASON
Under certain conditions the warning message shown to the right can
be activated in the driver display when both the brake lamps and a turn
signal are activated at the same time. The cause of this issue has been
identified as the unique Federal rear lamp combined position/brake/
turn indicator configuration.

NOTE: Even with this message displayed, the tail lamp and turn signal

RCL link leads fitted between the engine compartment harness and rear lamp connector plugs are
now fitted as a production running change to resolve this issue. These can also be ordered via the
parts system on the Lotus Commercial Management System (LCMS) for 2024 - 2025 model year
4-cylinder vehicles.

ACTION
- Check and identify any affected Emira vehicles from your inventory stock, dealer demonstrators and
customer vehicles to ensure that this campaign action is performed at the first opportunity.
- Any affected vehicle’s campaign status will be displayed in the warranty section of LCMS.
Procedure:
1.Remove both left and right-hand side rear wheelarch liners, refer to the Emira service notes, section
5 Exterior Trim > 27 Bumper and Valances > 533 12.01 Wheelarch Liners > Wheelarch liner - Rear Left Side Replacement.
2.From the wheelarch area. pull the rear
lamp to engine compartment harness
connector mounting peg of from the
subframe retaining stud (highlighted in
orange).

3.Pull the rear lamp to engine compartment
harness connector mounting peg of from
the fender retaining stud.
4.Unplug the connectors
5.Fit the tail lamp link harness
(8901537030) (highlighted in green),
between the connectors.
6.Fit the mounting peg of the tail lamp link
lead harness onto the subframe retaining
stud (highlighted in orange).
7.Fit the mounting peg of the engine
compartment harness connector onto the
subframe/fender bracket stud (highlighted
in yellow).
8.Repeat the procedure on the right-hand side rear tail lamp.
9.Put the vehicle into active or driving mode and activate the brake lamps and turn signals at the
same time to ensure that the warning massage does not appear in the driver display before refitting
the wheelarch liners and rear wheels.

Warranty Declaration
This technical service bulletin is not intended as a recall procedure, nor will it have an affect on the
vehicles warranty period.
Please perform the Campaign Agreement in LCMS which can later be converted into a Warranty
Claim having the warranty type “Recall and Campaign”.
This shall be raised in LCMS in under campaign ID QBS-131-26004.
CHARGES
A warranty claim may be submitted on Lotus Commercial Management System (LCMS), campaign
number QBS-131-26004.
1.8 hours labour time per vehicle, plus 2 x 8901537030 Bumper Federal RCL Link Lead, using
operation code 17.11.39-06 using A code 27 and B code 38.
