- Service Restraint System
• IPC PRNDL display intermittently turning on and off
• Headlamps, exterior lighting, and/or interior backlighting cycling on and off
• Backup/Reverse camera image appears fuzzy
These symptoms typically occur within the first minute after starting the vehicle. In some
cases, there may or may not be a correlation with the headlamps being turned on or off.
In all cases, multiple modules will set DTC U0140 (Loss of Communication with BCM).
Additional DTCs that may or may not be present include: U0078, B2575, B2699, B3135,
B3883, U0151, U0155, U0170, B3130, or other low-speed LAN communication-related
DTCs.
Cause
These conditions may be caused by the installation of aftermarket LED headlamps. Due
to the wide variety of aftermarket LED headlamp designs, the example shown below is
provided for reference only.

Correction
Disconnect the aftermarket headlamps and retest the vehicle. If normal operation is restored, install the original
factory light bulbs.
Warranty Information
