Reason for update: update the vehicle model coverage to include 2026 Transit vehicles, remove the Parts List and update the Service procedure to perform the PCV system repair outside of this TSB. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P2C90 stored in the PCM. This may be due to the software in the PCM.

procedure to perform the PCV system repair outside of this TSB, and adjust the labor operation allowances.

Action: For vehicles that meet all of the criteria in the Issue and Model statements, follow the Service Procedure to inspect the PCV system and reprogram the PCM to
the latest software level via FDRS.

Service Procedure
1. Perform a visual inspection of the PCV system. For F150 vehicles, refer to the WSM, Section 303-08 Engine Emission Control > Diagnosis and Testing > Crankcase
Ventilation > Pinpoint Test HG > Step HG2. For Transit vehicles, refer to the WSM, Section 303-08A Engine Emission Control > Diagnosis and Testing > Crankcase
Ventilation > Pinpoint Test A > Step A2. Is a concern present with the PCV system based on the visual inspection?
1. Yes - repair as necessary outside of this article. Proceed to Step 2.
2. No - proceed to Step 2.
NOTE: Modifications or aftermarket components added to the PCV and or air intake systems installed on the vehicle can cause inaccurate diagnostic
results. Refer to Section 3 of the Warranty and Policy Manual for warranty coverages.
2. Reprogram the PCM using the latest software level of the FDRS scan tool. Follow all on-screen instructions carefully to complete all coordinated module software
updates.
NOTE: Advise the customer this vehicle is equipped with an adaptive transmission shift strategy which allows the vehicle's computer to learn the
transmission's unique parameters and improve shift quality. When the adaptive strategy is reset, the computer will begin a relearning process. This
relearning process may result in firmer than normal upshifts and downshifts for several days.
