Dear Altec Owner,
Altec Industries, Inc. has been notified that a condition exists based upon a notification from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the vehicle. This relates to the operation or customer satisfaction of the unit when
equipped with Altec equipment.
Refer to attached documentation that follows this letter. If you have additional questions, please contact your Altec Account Manager. You may also contact the OEM using the contact information in the attached notice.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for
the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
If you have sold or retired the unit, update the records through Altec Connect. If you have leased this equipment
to another person or company, you are required by Federal Law to forward a copy of this notice to the lessee by
first class mail within ten (10) days of the receipt of this notice.
We appreciate your assistance in following this action in the interest of your continued satisfaction
with Altec products.

Ford Motor Company has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 20202022 Model Year Super Duty and 2021-2022 Medium Truck equipped with 6.7L Diesel Engines vehicles,
with the VIN shown above.
We apologize for this situation and want to assure you that, with your assistance, we will correct this
condition. Our commitment, together with your dealer, is to provide you with the highest level of service and
support.
What is the issue?

On your vehicle, it may be possible for aged biodiesel deposits to form on
internal high pressure fuel pump components. This may lead to failure of the
pump and may result in loss of motive power while driving.

What is the risk?

A loss of motive power increases the risk of a crash.

What will Ford and
your dealer do?

Software is not available. Ford Motor Company is working to provide
software for this repair. When the remedy becomes available, Ford Motor
Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with
your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge.

What should you do?

When the remedy is available, Ford Motor Company will send a letter
to inform you to contact your dealer to schedule a repair.
Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving your vehicle under this
safety recall. When the remedy is available, you should contact your dealer
for an appointment to have your vehicle remedied as soon as practicable.
If you do not already have a servicing dealer, you can access
ford.com/support for dealer addresses, maps, and driving instructions.

¿Qué medidas
adoptarán Ford y su
concesionario?

Las piezas y el software para reparar su vehículo ya se encuentran
disponibles. Ford Motor Company ha autorizado a su concesionario a
actualizar el software del Módulo de control del tren motriz (PCM) y del
Módulo de control de la transmisión (TCM), y a verificar la presencia de
ciertos código de diagnóstico de falla (DTC) en el PCM que podrían
conducir a diagnósticos adicionales, sin cargo.

¿Cuánto tiempo
tomará?

El tiempo necesario para esta reparación será menos de medio día. Sin
embargo, si hay ciertos DTC presentes en la PCM y se requieren
diagnósticos/reparaciones adicionales, y debido a los requisitos de
programación del servicio, es posible que su concesionario necesite su
vehículo durante un período de tiempo más prolongado.

vehículo de alquiler?

No se proporcionarán vehículos de alquiler si su vehículo únicamente
requiere la actualización del software del PCM y del TCM.
Si su concesionario determina que ciertos DTC están presentes en el PCM
y necesita que su vehículo permanezca durante la noche para reparaciones
prolongadas más allá de simplemente actualizar el PCM y el TCM, su
concesionario está autorizado a proporcionar un vehículo de alquiler para
su transporte personal sin cargo (excepto combustible y seguro) mientras
su vehículo esté en el concesionario para reparaciones. Comuníquese con
