Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Service shifter message, unable to shift out of park. Code

P0607 sets in the ESM.

Models Affected: 2026 LB Charger

Diagnosis/Repair:

A) If code P0607 will not switch to a stored status or returns when cleared, then

replace the ESM (shifter module) and confirm proper operation.

B) If after a key-cycle code P0607 goes stored and does not return, the shifter

should operate normally with no warning messages. If the above condition exists,

please do not replace the ESM (shifter module) or any other parts as a software

update is expected in the 2nd Quarter to address this concern. If the service

shifter message returns in the cluster, then please advise the customer that

cycling the key should return the ESM (shifter) to proper operation.
