A technician (during PDI) or a customer may comment that the tailgate assist handle was

not included at the time the vehicle was delivered, see picture below.
Cause
The assist handle has changed from an included part of RPO QK2 (Mult Flex or MultiPro

tailgate) to a stand-alone option, RPO TGH. To get the handle, RPO TGH must be

ordered for the handle to be included.

Correction

Do not install an assist handle on a vehicle that is missing the handle unless the vehicle is equipped with RPO TGH.

The assist handle has changed from an included part of RPO QK2 (MultFlex or MultiPro tailgate) to a stand-alone

option, RPO TGH. To get the handle, RPO TGH must be ordered.

RPO TGH is tied to RPO CGN, any truck with RPO CGN can get RPO TGH. It is no longer tied to the QK2 gate.

The warranty labor code for the assist handle 1414930 will be restricted to RPO: TGH only on 2026 and later

pickups.

If a customer desires to have the handle, they can purchase the assembly through the parts department. This is a

customer pay (non-warranty) item. Any warranty claims submitted for the tailgate handle that doesn't have the RPO:

TGH will be charged back.
