Certain Maserati vehicles listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to install the latest
software on multiple ECU modules.
VEHICLES INVOLVED: (M182) Grecale MY23, MY24 and MY25

driving experience. To ensure every customer receives our best, it is vital that all vehicles are
updated with the latest product improvements. This Rapid Update consolidation is intended to
simplify your work by providing all essential campaign information and required updates in one
streamlined document. Our goal is to help you work efficiently and ensure that every Maserati
entering or leaving the workshop meets the highest brand standards.
We remind you that all Rapid Updates must be performed during the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
For Stock Dealer/PDI vehicles, all action operations must be completed before delivery to the
end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly referenced in the Pre‑Delivery
Checklist.
Please read and review this bulletin before ordering parts and/or beginning the procedure.

When the Service Entry is opened and a claim is created, Modis automatically recognizes the
case assigned to the VIN and suggests the appropriate software. Only one case is suggested,
helping to avoid errors.

TIP: We recommend opening the claim in temporary status and confirming only the option
suggested by the system. This makes it easier to understand the list of modules to be updated.

WARNING: It is recommended to double‑check the VIN List to avoid errors regarding the case
to be performed. The VIN List is automatically populated in Modis.
If the request is submitted without any changes, it will be automatically evaluated and
approved.
NOTE: Claim submission serves as a self‑declaration that all listed modules have been updated
at the time of Service Entry closure.

Software Update Procedure Overview
1.

Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been previously
performed.

2. Before proceeding, please check the following prerequisites:
a. (Required) Connect the E-XTEQ MAXIMUS to maintain minimum voltage and current draw
requirements.
b. Key ON and Engine OFF
c. Vehicle Parked and SGW unlocked
d. MD-Evo SW version 9.8.2 or higher
3.

Before performing any software update, refer to the VIN List included with this bulletin.
Each VIN is assigned specific module(s) to update, and technicians must only perform the software
updates listed for that exact VIN.

Locate the vehicle’s VIN in the Excel VIN List.
Check the “Modules to be updated” column.
Perform only the software update(s) indicated for that VIN.
Do not perform any additional ECU programming not assigned to that VIN.

This electric absorption improvement can be reached by updating the following modules all in one shot:
•
BCM (Body Control Module)
•
RFHM (Radio Frequency HUB Module)
•
SLML (Smart Lighting Module Left)
•
SLMR (Smart Lighting Module Right)

Operating Procedure :
1.

Using MD-Evo, update the 4 control units:

From ECU View , select BCM – ECU programming
From ECU View , select RFHM – ECU programming
From ECU View , select SLML – ECU programming
From ECU View , select SLMR – ECU programming

2.

After updating the 4 control units, run BCM – Procedures – PROXI Alignment .

3.

After the PROXI alignment, exclusively for BEV vehicles, please follow these steps:
▪

Run APM – Active Diagnosis – Hard Reset

▪

Close the MD-Evo application and disconnect the MDVCI2

▪

Disconnect the Battery Maintainer from the 12V battery

▪

Perform Key OFF

▪

Make sure the hood, trunk, and all doors are properly closed.

▪

Wait for power latch (wait until the dashboard clock is off)
NOTE: Let the car go into sleep mode for 10 minutes

4.

▪

Reconnect the Battery Maintainer to the 12V battery

▪

Perform Key ON

▪

Reconnect the MDVCI2, restart the MD-Evo application and clear the DTCs
