Vehicle Make: KIA

Vehicle Model: SORENTO

Model Year: 2020

Summary

The engine is burning oil despite all maintenance being up to date and having fewer than 80k miles. Kia of Duluth Service Center checked the oil and said levels were good on 12/31/25. Fewer than 30 miles were driven and it was brought back to the dealership service center on 1/2/26 and diagnosed with total engine loss due to oil starvation. The extended warranty company (JM&A) are denying coverage because the engine failure is due to lack of oil. They have inspected the vehicle. No warning lights ever came on and this is the second time that this issue has been addressed by Kia of Duluth. The engine could have easily overheated and caught on fire or lost power on the road.

Summary

When driving at low speeds and going over bumps and speed bumps there is a thumping noise coming from the driver’s side rear. I’ve had the issue for quite some time now and there is a TSB on it for a faulty shock insulator. Between 2 different dealerships they have replaced it 3 times now and it’s doing it all over again. The last dealership has told me it is normal noise for the age and mileage of the vehicle.

Vehicle: GMC Yukon Denali Model Year: (insert) Engine: 6.2L L87 Mileage at Failure: 44,000 Failure Date: February 18, 2026 Recall: GM 6.2L Engine Failure Recall (crankshaft/bearing defect leading to propulsion loss) Complaint Summary: Complete engine failure and total loss of propulsion on a high-speed highway on-ramp with my family inside, causing extreme danger and emotional trauma. Full Description: On February 18, 2026, my GMC Yukon Denali experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion while we were on the on-ramp to a high-speed, heavy-traffic expressway. The engine failed without warning as traffic was accelerating rapidly around us. My husband, my [XXX] son, and I were all in the vehicle on our way to celebrate my son’s birthday. Instead, the vehicle died in one of the most dangerous locations possible — the merge zone of a busy highway — leaving us stranded with cars coming at full speed. Traffic immediately began backing up for a long stretch behind us. Drivers were honking, yelling, and aggressively swerving because the lane was blocked by our stalled vehicle. The situation felt chaotic and frightening. I genuinely believed we were at risk of being rear-ended at highway speed. We felt helpless waiting for police to arrive to protect us. The emotional distress, panic, and fear for my family’s safety were overwhelming. My son was shaking and visibly upset on what was supposed to be his birthday celebration. None of us felt safe until law enforcement was able to block traffic. After the incident, the dealership confirmed that the failure was caused by the GM L87 engine defect currently under recall and stated that the engine needed to be completely replaced. This sudden stall created a severe safety hazard that could have easily resulted in a catastrophic crash, injury, or worse. It has had a lasting emotional impact on me and my family. Summary

On 3 separate occasions, while traveling at highway speeds on the NJ Garden State Parkway in the left lane, my truck’s service engine light soon wrench would come on out of nowhere, the throttle would cut out, and the gas pedal would go limp and unresponsive. The only way to get it operational again was to turn the truck off, let it sit for 10-15 min to drain the computers, and restart. Imagine doing 70-75 mph in the left most lane and you lose all throttle and have to get your vehicle all the way to the right shoulder without the ability to speed up to avoid being hit in the process. Now imagine that same thing happening 3 times within a month. The dealership found failed factory power train wiring and a failed gateway module. This truck’s a 2023 with 50k highway miles. Shouldn’t be failing like this. Now it’s been at the dealership for 3 weeks…..

Summary

I purchased this vehicle one year ago from a used car dealership with 148,000 miles on it. Within a few months it was throwing crankshaft position, sensor codes, camshaft codes, and burning oil. I cannot bring my RPMs above two without my check engine light coming on and blinking. My car will go into limp mode. Hyundai does not have my car included in the engine recall they only have the sport Santa Fe included. They released an extended warranty for 150,000 miles but by the time that was put into place my car was at 151,000 miles so it was not eligible.

Summary

Feb 02, 2026 Manufacturer Recall Number03D NHTSA Recall Number26V-059 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete Summary The trailer turn signal will not flash when the vehicle turn signal lever is actuated and the trailer stop lamps will not be activated upon application of the vehicle service brakes. In addition, if equipped, the trailer brakes will not function. Safety Risk Trailer lighting that is not illuminated may result in an approaching vehicle being unaware of the change of direction or speed of the vehicle and trailer which may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. The loss of trailer brakes can also cause a vehicle crash without a prior warning. Remedy FCA US LLC will conduct a voluntary safety recall to replace the trailer tow module. The manufacturer (warranty service provider) informed me of this safety recall on February 10, 2026 and advised me to get it repaired soon. I called the dealership where I purchased the new vehicle to set up an appointment for repair: Jim Browne Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Dade City, FL. However, their service department was not available, even though there was approximately 15 minutes remaining for their scheduled hours. The representative told me they consistently leave early. I called back when the service department was finally available and was told they are unable to repair the issue related to the safety recall. I notified the manufacturer of the problem with Jim Browne Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. The representative was unable to help me and escalated the issue to someone else. I was finally contacted this week by a different representative from the manufacturer, but he has not been able to help either. I was advised to contact your organization and then an attorney if your organization cannot help in this matter. I am appalled by the service I’ve received regarding my Ram truck situation and that the dealership and manufacturer do not care about safety issues. I’ve never had problems like this with my other automobiles.
