Summary

While vehicle was Parked in driveway the rear windshield just exploded suddenly causing glass to fly everywhere. Causing a risk for injury for a human and animal. There was no signs or warnings just happened suddenly. The vehicle has been towed to Nissan for repair but was told to not expect my vehicle back anytime soon. In the mean time I have a loaner.

Summary

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that while seated in the vehicle, while the vehicle was parked, there was an abnormally strong plastic burning odor inside the vehicle. The contact stated that a top light was plugged in the trunk, but the light was turned off. After opening the trunk, the contact became aware that the wiring in the trunk had overheated and burned the laundry that was inside the vehicle and the rear passenger's side seat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 129,000.

Noxious emissions fill passenger compartment while at idle, or when using remote start. Cannot drive with windows closed, or with recirculation on. Passengers feel, "sleepy". Bracket holding flex pipe fails at the same point in several different traverse vehicles. The 2018 model we have, is not covered by a recall, even though the 2019 of the same design and fail point, is. N222385510 GM is addressing this on only select models, even though the same issue is applicable to other models, and the same part numbers are the cause and or affected.

1. The power steering failed when I was driving my 2016 GMC Truck. 2. The failure caused the steering of the truck to be very difficult putting myself and any passengers at risk. 3. This issue occurred on 2/19/26 at about 3:00PM Central time while driving. Power steering warning lights did illuminate. 4. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone at this time. Please note there is a safety recall associated with the 2015 GMC Canyons for the exact same problem. Instructions were given to submit a report to the NHTSA and the vehicle's owner may be eligible for reimbursement or free repair is a "hidden," warranty extension or "customer satisfaction program" covers it.

initially filed XXX (1/2/2026) 2nd (additional info) filed XXX (2/10/2026 3rd (3 page service report) XXX (2/11/2026) Vehicle is registered to Christopher Rojik, however it is my car that I drive, etc. today I am filing this for you folks that since I filed the complaint with Kia Corp. and sent them the service report, etc. Today, 2/19/2026 I received a formal Settlement Agreement and General Release to sign and accept. I am not signing it, as well as it fully releases Kia from any future issues, etc. outside of the warranty and whatever other details it claims. This will or should be the last for me to file. I had no idea they send me this kind of offer. As it is listed specifically as a "GOODWILL GESTURE" and they are not accepting fault or something like that. I attached inidividual pages, hopefully I can upload them as pdfs, we will see. The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her son was driving 70 MPH, the vehicle abruptly lost power, and there was smoke coming from the engine compartment and tailpipe. The driver pulled over to the side of the highway and turned off the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The engine was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the transmission failed after the engine replacement. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the dealer informed the contact that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced; however, the warning lights remained illuminated. The dealer then informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The transmission was not repaired or replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,633.

Driver's seat belt retractor doesn't retract all of the time. Hangs up & leaves slack. Bought car & wasn't as bad. Didn't talk to dealer until now. Drove car 800 miles & 4 months since purchase. Dealer service dept says no extended warranty etc. I'm past the original warranty period & the 3 month certified used car warranty. Car was sold on Oct 14, 2025. The equipment checklist form marked that all safety systems were working. I feel a slack belt, getting worse is a safety issue the manufacturer should fix in a 5 year old car.
