Manufacturer Name: Nissan North America, Inc.

Vehicle Make: NISSAN

Vehicle Model: ROGUE

Model Year: 2018

Summary

The front passenger car door failed to lock. It is considered a safety issue as it can leave the vehicle vulnerable to theft and may also pose a risk while driving if the door opens unexpectedly. It's important to address this problem promptly to ensure safety and security. There were no warning messages indicating the failed lock. I just happened to pull the handle and that door opened when all other doors remained locked. Prior to this discovery, I had experienced an incident where someone went through my car and took out valuables (coins and cash) but I was unaware that the door was not locking. Once the issue was identified, I took the car to the dealership for diagnosis, and the issue was a short in the door lock actuator (4 door 2018 Nissan Rouge). I took the car in for immediate diagnosis and costly repair ($852.03) as I did not feel comfortable driving or parking a car which could not be locked. (I am unable to upload the repair invoice, tried as a pdf and jpeg.)

Summary

I was driving 70 mph down the interstate when my truck unexpectedly shifted into 1st. A couple weeks later, I was driving down the interstate when my truck unexpectedly shifted into neutral and then the reverse camera came on. I took it to a local mechanic shop yesterday when the truck unexpectedly shifted into neutral again. This is completely unacceptable and is very dangerous. It is currently being worked on to replace the lead frame but this is a huge safety issue and id like Ford to cover my repair cost. It has left me stranded three times now. I did the recall not too long ago and this DID NOT fix the issue. Ford clearly knows about the issue and decided to only update the software. Id also like to add my truck is only driven maybe once a month so its not heavily driven.

Manufacturer Name: General Motors, LLC

Vehicle Make: CHEVROLET

Vehicle Model: TRAVERSE

Model Year: 2025

Summary

Initially, the engine would intermittently fail to start and at times would not start at all. I took the vehicle to a certified Chevrolet service center, where the battery was tested and found to be functioning properly. They later concluded that a faulty front-view camera was disrupting the electrical system and ordered a replacement (my first visit was Friday, 9/26/25). I took the car home for the weekend due to family obligations. On Monday, 9/29, while driving back to the service center, the engine suddenly shut off on a local road. The brakes went completely to the floor for 3–5 seconds before the engine restarted—just before I nearly collided with another vehicle at a red light. I reported this immediately, and the dealership kept the car for further testing. On Thursday, 10/2, they informed me they found no additional issues and believed the camera was the root cause. However, the problem persisted. On Sunday, 10/5, while stopped at a red light at Hawthorn St. and Memorial Dr., the engine shut off again as I began to accelerate. The brakes sank to the floor, and I had no steering control for approximately 5–7 seconds before the vehicle restarted. My wife and I were extremely shaken, especially with our children in the car. On Monday, 10/6, we contacted roadside assistance to tow the vehicle back to the service center. After additional testing, we were informed that the battery had failed this time and was replaced. However, replacing the battery does not reassure us that the engine and braking system will not fail again while driving, or the brake failure would happen again when the battery is low - which poses a serious safety risk to our family. When my wife called GM to report this issue, all they offered was 200 points worth of rewards....We originally bought this car for safety, but not this has been compromised and we no longer feel safe. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am happy to provide any additional information if needed.

Manufacturer Name: Tesla, Inc.

Vehicle Make: TESLA

Vehicle Model: MODEL Y

Model Year: 2026

Summary

I am submitting this complaint regarding a newly leased 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium RWD, which I took delivery of on February 6, 2026 from Tesla Watertown, MA. I am a returning Tesla customer and entered this lease after test driving the same model on January 24, which did not exhibit any issues. Immediately upon driving the vehicle off the lot (approximately 12 miles), I noticed a persistent rattling noise from the front suspension area. The noise occurs over normal road conditions and has been present since delivery, significantly affecting the quality and value of the vehicle. On February 9, Tesla Watertown evaluated the vehicle and later replaced both front upper control arm (FUCA) mounts. On February 10, before repairs were completed, multiple safety systems suddenly disabled while driving, including regenerative braking behavior, traction and stability control, lane safety features, and automatic emergency braking, creating a dangerous situation. I returned the vehicle immediately and was provided a loaner. I picked up the vehicle on February 13 and was told the suspension issue was resolved, but the noise remained. I then sought a second opinion at Tesla Peabody, where a master technician conducted a ride-along and confirmed the condition. He verified that the latest FUCA parts had been installed and the front structural “pencil braces” had been removed per Tesla guidance. I was informed the vehicle falls into a known noise category affecting 2026 RWD Model Y vehicles and that there is currently no repair or engineering solution available. This defect has existed since delivery and remains unresolved after multiple service visits and component replacements. I have contacted Tesla regional leadership and customer support multiple times without response.

Summary

MFTR Recall 28S75 NHTSA Recall 25V 455 This is a safety risk recall issued over 7 months ago and Ford still does not have a remedy to fix the problem. So far my F150 has not experienced the problem, but do I just keep driving and one day the vehicle stops running, maybe while I'm traveling on an interstate at 70 mph. I think it's time to pressure Ford for a fix before someone has a tragic accident. Thanks

Manufacturer Name: Kia America, Inc.

Vehicle Make: KIA

Vehicle Model: SELTOS

Model Year: 2021

Summary

My 2021 Kia Seltos has experienced repeat internal engine damage related to oil consumption. An intake camshaft previously failed and was replaced by Kia. The vehicle has now suffered a second camshaft failure (exhaust cam) with dealer documentation of oil starvation. Prior recall SC336 was addressed only with a software update and no mechanical engine inspection. Despite documented oil starvation and repeat internal damage, Kia and the dealer have refused recall reassessment or engineering (Techline) review and are treating this as an out-of-warranty cam failure. The vehicle experienced timing issues and near-total oil loss prior to scheduled service, creating risk of sudden loss of power while driving. I am requesting investigation of recall adequacy and engine defect.

Manufacturer Name: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)

Vehicle Make: JEEP

Vehicle Model: WRANGLER

Model Year: 2024

Summary

I am the lessee of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door 4xe (Mileage: 7,168) affected by open recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766). The recall notice states my vehicle's engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process, which can cause catastrophic engine failure, resulting in vehicle fire or unexpected loss of propulsion without warning. The recall was issued November 6, 2025. Today is February 19, 2026—over three months later—and despite contacting FCA/Jeep and my dealer, NO REMEDY OR REPAIR PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I have been told to wait indefinitely with no estimated fix date. I am making monthly lease payments for a vehicle the manufacturer admits is unsafe to drive. I fear for my safety and my passengers' safety every time I operate this vehicle. The risk of fire or sudden power loss on a highway could be deadly. I request that NHTSA compel FCA US LLC to provide an immediate remedy or repurchase this vehicle so I can exit my lease safely. Consumers should not be forced to pay for and drive vehicles with uncorrected, life-safety defects.
