Summary

Component/System: Braking System (Caliper Bolt) and Suspension (Control Arm/Linkage Bolt). Description of Incident: While traveling on a tollway at 70 mph, I heard a faint noise followed by a severe metallic scratching sound coming from the front driver-side wheel. Upon inspection at a tire service center, it was discovered that a brake caliper bolt had fallen out, causing the caliper to displace and score the inner rim of the wheel. The vehicle was towed to a Tesla Service Center, where the caliper and wheel were replaced under warranty. Tesla could not identify a root cause but stated they performed a quality check on all remaining wheels. Subsequently, a second failure occurred on the front passenger-side wheel. A different bolt—this time related to the suspension—loosened or fell out. The vehicle produced a severe grinding noise and felt unstable, as if the wheel was about to dislodge. Safety Risk: Both incidents posed an immediate risk of catastrophic mechanical failure at high speeds. A detached brake caliper can lead to total loss of braking or wheel lock-up, while a suspension bolt failure can cause a complete loss of steering control. Either scenario could have resulted in a high-speed collision, endangering my life and the lives of my two children. Confirmation/Inspection: • Confirmed by Dealer: Yes, Tesla Service Center performed repairs on both occasions. • Available for Inspection: The vehicle has been repaired, but service records and photos of the damage/missing bolts are available. • Other Inspections: Initial driver-side failure was visually confirmed by Discount Tire. Warning Signs: There were no dashboard warning lamps or messages. The only symptoms were a brief "pop" or "click" followed immediately by loud metal-on-metal grinding and vibration.

Summary

While driving, the rear arm connected to the rear driver-side wheel broke off. According to my Nissan dealership diagnosis, this was due to excessive rust/rot of the whole subframe. The 2013 Nissan Murano rear arm cannot re attach the wheel to the sub frame due to so much rust/rot on the sub frame. The whole subframe would need replacement. When doing an estimate on fixing, Nissan called and stopped the estimate when replacement of the subframe, fixing of the arm, and additional rust/replacement exceeded the value of the car. My son and I were driving on the road when the arm broke off the rear wheel, the wheel went sideways and we skidded to a stop, so our safety was at risk. There were no warning lights or signs of this happening. While driving on the road, my car felt unstable then seconds later the arm broke off. The car was at Nissan 4 months prior to have work done, I had them do a multipoint inspection when there was a problem/engine light with the vehicle and it would not go more than 15mph. Nissan fixed loose RF hub, plus they replaced a right and left front sway bar. This is right on the sub frame, there was no warning given to me that the sub frame was rusted or could give out.

Summary

Back-up camera malfunctions periodically. They tried to fix it, but it is still happening. When I put it in reverse, it says "cameras not available." It creates a risk for me as I am used to parallel parking using it, or when I am coming out of my garage, among other places and times. It is unpredictable - sometimes it happens several times a day, then it doesn't happen for a few days. There must be a way to fix this for good. It has never happened with several other cars I used for a long time.

Summary

One night shortly after starting the car, I went to put the car in first gear amd as I let out the clutch, but pedal stayed flat to the floor. I was able to lift the pedal with my foot and drive the car back to safety. The next day, I drove the car to the nearest shop before anything catastrophic happens. This time, right in the shop parking lot, I lost all hydraulic pressure in the clutch and I could not take the car out of gear. I had to turn off the car to prevent it from stalling as the clutch slowly engaged without my doing. I had the car inspected by two repair shops—one quote at $3900, the other at $6600. The issue is a failed seal on the clutch slave cylinder, located inside the transmission. The seal is much too thin from factory to withstand normal use. There are no recalls for this issue, and MANY affected owners. This is a safety issue because the failure can be almost immediate and will leave the driver unable to take the car out of gear, leading to out of control driving.

Summary

My car suddenly accelerated while I was pulling into my canopy carport causing me to crash into an old basketball goal and then the wall of my cottage. When this happened I was slowly pulling in to park when the car suddenly accelerated on its own and kept moving forward despite me pressing the brake. The RPM gauge continued to rev after the impact and the only way that I was able to make it stop was by putting the car into park and pushing the button to turn the car off. No warning lights illuminated on my dash. I have video of the incident from my security camera in my backyard.

Summary

My 2018 Ford Escape has experienced coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders, a known issue affecting this model year. The vehicle began misfiring and consuming coolant without external leaks. This is an engine defect Ford has known about since 2010, yet they continued to put this engine into their cars. I had bought this car less then a year ago, it had been in the shop more then I have had it. It is constantly overheating. The most recent time I was driving my son to school my exhaust was smoking really bad and everything seemed to be ruining smoothly the day before when I drove it the auto shop I have been taking it to they had spent 2 weeks researching what was wrong with it they told me I needed my whole engine replaced. Im a single mom amd I need answers.. I look up my Vin in the recalls and its stating 0 results but that cant be possible if I have had been same issue as others my eco start and stop dont work and my passager in the front cant roll window down

Summary

Bought truck from Carvanna with a open recall. Backup camera listed on description as couldn't remedy and also pictures of it not working. Took to friendship Ford for major repairs and asked them to fix recall. Wouldn't fix back up camera cause couldn't get to duplicate. Contacted my case worker corrina at carvanna executive resolution team told her they wouldn't fix the recall also sent her a video of the back up camera not working she responded by she couldn't make Ford do anything and would look into it. Truck completely lost power in a snowstorm lost power steering got the truck in to wallace Ford Kingsport tn. They replaced wiring to the back of the truck along with the back up camera recall.
