Summary
I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my Mercedes-Benz Metris serviced at Mercedes-Benz Coconut Creek (Florida) under Recall VS2LAS561 – 9789VMCRC (Customer Service Case #20781216). On February 12th, I delivered the vehicle for recall service. It was returned on February 23rd without the recall properly completed. Invoice no. 328897 – tag T9514 lists replacement of four Continental 235/55 R17 tires and installation of four PRS sensor repair kits. These items were not installed. The tires were placed in the trunk, and only three used sensors are present; one wheel has no sensor. Additionally, the dealership provided 235/55 R17 tires, while the vehicle is homologated for 225/55 R17. Supplying non-approved tire sizes represents a safety concern. Since purchase (from the same dealership), I have reported tire pressure irregularities and abnormal lateral tire wear. During the most recent service, no tire rotation was performed despite documented uneven wear. Two weeks prior to the recall visit, I experienced a highway tire blowout while traveling with my family. When attempting to install the spare tire, I discovered the wheel lock removal key had been removed during a prior Mercedes service and not returned. I was unable to change the tire and required roadside assistance. The lug bolts had to be forcibly removed by an external shop, potentially damaging wheel components. The dealership has not properly resolved these safety-related issues. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle under current conditions. I request investigation into: • Recall execution compliance • Tire size compliance with vehicle specifications • Improper documentation of uninstalled parts • Removal of required emergency equipment (wheel lock key) These issues present potential safety risks to vehicle occupants and other road users. Thanks.

Vehicle Model: IONIQ 5
Model Year: 2022
Summary
For the past few days, our 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 (approx. 83,000 miles) has been unable to charge using AC charging (Level 1 or Level 2). The failure is repeatable and consistent across multiple chargers: two separate home Level 2 chargers, the Hyundai-provided Level 1 charger, and a neighbor’s Level 2 charger. In each case, charging either fails to start or stops shortly after initiating. DC fast charging continues to work normally. Component/system suspected: The problem appears related to the vehicle’s onboard AC charging system (possible ICCU, onboard charger/OBC, charge port/inlet, or related high-voltage charging components). The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: This creates a safety concern because we cannot reliably charge the vehicle at home or at most public charging locations (which are predominantly Level 2 AC). This increases the risk of unexpectedly running out of charge and becoming stranded in unsafe locations, especially where DC fast chargers are not available. Reproduction/confirmation: The issue has been reproduced on multiple independent AC chargers, making it unlikely to be caused by a single EVSE/charger. A dealer appointment is scheduled for diagnosis and confirmation. Warning lamps/messages: When attempting AC charging, the vehicle reports a charging failure/unsuccessful charging condition (exact message UNKNOWN). No prior warning lamps were noticed before the issue began (UNKNOWN). This issue appears to be widespread based on numerous similar owner reports of AC charging failure on Ioniq 5 vehicles while DC fast charging still works, suggesting a potential systemic defect in the onboard charging/ICCU-related hardware.

Summary
While making a left turn at approximately 10 mph in light snow conditions, braking became severely impaired with pedal pressure present but vehicle failing to decelerate, and steering became significantly resistant and insufficient to redirect the vehicle away from the obstacle. Vehicle continued toward a tree despite brake pedal input and steering input away from the tree. Slippery road warning light activated before and during the incident. Multiple additional warning lights activated during and after impact. Airbags did not deploy despite collision. Post-incident, steering required significant opposite steering input to drive straight for approximately 1.7 miles to reach a safe parking location, consistent with front-end damage affecting steering alignment. Prior to this incident, I experienced multiple separate occasions where braking felt abnormal and insufficient in conditions requiring higher traction including rain and snow. I verbally reported this concern once to an authorized Nissan dealer in December 2025 and was told this was normal AEB system behavior. No documentation was created for this verbal complaint. Vehicle had a prior manufacturer recall performed at an authorized Nissan dealer on June 1, 2024 reconfiguring the IPDM/USM — the module controlling electronic steering column lock and CAN bus safety system communications. At that same visit, the Nissan technician documented abnormally dirty brake fluid at only 14,410 miles on this 2023 vehicle. A second manufacturer recall reprogramming the ECM was performed at an authorized Nissan dealer on December 4, 2025, approximately two months before this incident. The vehicle is available for inspection. No independent or dealer post-incident inspection has occurred. An insurance claim has been opened. Incident occurred within the 3-year/36,000-mile manufacturer warranty period at under 31,000 miles.
