Manufacturer Name: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.

Vehicle Make: VOLKSWAGEN

Vehicle Model: ID.4

Model Year: 2021

Summary

I was slowing down to park the car when it lurched forward in high speed and smashed into the wall. The front collision warning never went off, and the emergency braking never came on. My foot was on the accelerator and lifting off to park at low speed like I do all the time, so it wasn't like I was trying to slam on the brakes and pressed on the accelerator by mistake. The car was serviced at the dealership less than a week ago, but VW pushed out an OTA update 2 days ago. I don't know if the OTA update has anything to do with this scary behavior, but I have not experienced anything like this before.

Summary

I have reached out to several dealers in the past year to get this recall fixed. Most say parts aren't available, However i spoke with my local dealer in Vicksburg Mississippi and the parts department stated they had the parts to fix this issue and to call back and speak with services to set up an appt. . I called back as i was asked and the service guy said we don't have the parts to fix this ABS recall. I then stated that your parts guy said the parts were available on site for my vin number. He then stated well i wont get paid for it. This has been a major inconvenience not to mention with the ABS and Traction control are faulted, the cruise control wont work and the 4X4 wont work. I have been dealing with this over a year and the say the least it is getting very frustrating.

Manufacturer Name: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)

Vehicle Make: HONDA

Vehicle Model: ODYSSEY

Model Year: 2025

Summary

Over a period of the last several months when the auto idle stop engages at intersections (red lights, stop signs, etc) the vehicle will intermittently fail to restart. The vehicle stalls entirely and goes into a state where you are unable to restart the vehicle for anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes. This is a very dangerous situation and each time have had other motorists honking and frustrated that the vehicle is not going when the light turns green. The vehicle is currently at the Honda dealership for the third time to attempt to repair this issue. The first time it was returned to me and I was told no issues found, the second time (after multiple more failures on road) was told the battery was faulty. The battery was replaced but the failures to restart continue. I can see that there are many claims of this same issue with Honda, however in our experience with this vehicle, very little has been done by Honda to solve this major safety issue.

After 5000 miles between oil changes, the engine had burned enough oil to have no oil in the dipstick. This equals at least 3 quarts oil if a 7 quart capacity. The dealership states this truck burns a quart to quart and a half every 2000 miles. This seems like an excess amount of oil consumption.
