Summary
I am writing to formally report a serious issue with my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe following the second recall repair (Recall 68C) related to the high-voltage battery fire risk. In November 2025, my vehicle underwent the required recall service. The repair was completed at the end of December 2025. However, immediately after the repair, I began experiencing significant performance problems in Electric Mode. Specifically: The vehicle now has severely reduced power output when operating in pure electric mode. Acceleration is noticeably weak and inconsistent compared to its performance prior to the recall repair. The gasoline engine frequently engages even when sufficient battery charge is available and Electric Mode is selected. Before the recall service, the vehicle operated normally in Electric Mode without these issues. The current condition substantially affects drivability, fuel efficiency, and the overall value of the vehicle.

Summary
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel remained stuck in the direction turned and failed to return to center. The contact stated that the traction control warning light was illuminated. Due to the failure, excessive force was needed to steer the vehicle while driving back to the residence. The contact’s stepson used a code reader to diagnose the vehicle and performed a reset, and the power steering assist feature returned. Upon investigation, the contact's stepson discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V632000 (STEERING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was informed that the repair was temporary and that the failure would return. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

At least 5 times I have had my finger caught in the drivers side interior door handle release. It seems to catch my fingers in the back of the handle. I've owned 4 other VW Jettas and this has never happened. It 's mostly aggravating but it also hurts!

Summary
After several days of below freezing temps, started car after work and received "check electrical systems" warning. Couldn't drive above 15-25 mph. Eventually led to total shutdown, could not start, lock/unlock doors, etc. Had to tow to dealer which they eventually deemed the ICCU to be at fault. 12v battery was dead and new battery they put in to test died it sounds like as well. Or they "recreated the problem" was their words after trying to claim it was only a bad 12v battery.

Summary
The brake assist feature engaged when a second car cut a corner in front of me in Peoria AZ. The brakes engaged, and while waiting for the auto brake to release, a third care came up very fast behind me. I hit the gas in fear of being rear-ended. Apparently, in fear I simultaneously pulled on the steering column and the steering column pulled out beyond its normal range. The telescoping adjustment feature no longer works. The steering wheel is locked in a downward and elongated position. I took it to the local AZ Hyundai dealer for warranty repair and they said it was due to the Kirkland Hyundai dealerships failure to install a pin that locks the steering column in place after installing a lo-jack system. The column is not covered by warranty. There were no warning signs except the dangerous auto braking system, that caused a series of failures in the vehicle. This is the 4th time this braking system has almost caused a rear-end crash. The AZ Larry Miller Hyundai dealership suggested I contact the Kirkland Hyundai dealership in WA for damages. Damages to replace the steering column and replace the missing pin lock are nearly $3000.00 There are no pictures as the steering column has been reassembled but is bent and needs to be replaced.

Summary
Automatic 10 speed transmission has unpredictable shifting from 1st through 3 gears, offten with long lags between shifts, losing power temporarily, especially from 1st to 2nd gear, and harsh shifting. Sometimes, the 1st - 2nd shift lag happens upon acceleration during merging or in an intersection and that loss of power is critical, requiring an adjustment in throttle position, and when 2nd gear catches, then there is too much power. It is unpredictable. The Bronco has about 35K miles now, but this has happening since day 1. Twice in dealer, twice the tech noted it, and twice the only solution was to clear the adaptive shift control memory. Does not fix the issue.

Summary
My Fuel pump recall was fixed on 06/17/2021 at 40543 Miles. On 12/8/22 at 56361 miles, my vehicle wouldn’t start and I got the battery replaced with the assumption that it was the battery. On 4/30/25 at 102,298 miles, I got my spark plugs replaced in hopes to resolve excessive cranking/ hard start issues I’ve been having since the recall. To my fault, I should’ve made a bigger complaint on the hard start issues but didn’t think anything of it thinking it’s normal. On 12/30/2025, at 119,186 miles, I went in for a routine maintenance oil change, but replaced my battery based on recommendation also on hopes to resolve excessive cranking issues I’ve been having. On 1/3/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start when I went out of town. Main reason I took it into service the week before was to make sure I don’t have any issues when I’m out at a foreign place and it did at a sketchy gas station putting my family in danger. On 1/7/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I took it in to Atlantic Coast Honda on 1/9/26 and they were able to replicate the issue but was told that they couldn’t do anything else. I complained to them that I didn’t feel comfortable driving my family around and also driving to far places for work but was told my vehicle has tested better since it was replicated when I brought it in. On 2/20/26, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I brought it in on 2/21/26 for them to look at it again. I get a notice on 2/23/26 on the service recommended, and it’s to replace the fuel pump for $1398.71. I told them that I refuse to pay that amount when it was replaced based on a recall, and the part replaced is not even over 100,000 miles. Also the fact that I’ve had issues on starting the vehicle for a while and I’ve committed to replacing the battery twice, changing out the spark plugs in hopes to resolve my vehicle issues. This situation has put me in a bind putting me, my family, and other drivers in danger when I drive a vehicle that might stop working any time.

Summary
On the morning of my incident, I left my home at approximately 5:20 a.m. I entered the New York State Thruway at Exit 25 and continued onto I‑87 North. Around Exit 3, I encountered mixed precipitation and immediately activated the front windshield defroster. Although the center portion of the windshield eventually began to clear, the left and right sides remained completely obstructed. From Exit 3 through Exit 18—approximately 45 minutes of driving at reduced speed due to weather conditions—the defroster failed to clear the outer portions of the windshield. The visibility issue became severe enough that I was forced to pull over to address the problem. Notably, once the vehicle was stopped and turned off, the ice on the windshield began melting within about five minutes. This strongly suggests that airflow while driving (wind chill effect) is preventing the defroster from functioning properly. In more than 40 years of driving, I have never experienced a vehicle in which the defroster, set to high, could not clear the windshield after such an extended period. This is not an isolated occurrence. I have previously experienced similar issues with fogging, where the defroster clears only the center of the windshield while leaving the sides obstructed. I reported this concern to the dealership, but I was told the system was “operating within specifications.” If the system is truly operating within specifications, then the specifications themselves appear to reflect a design flaw. A defroster that cannot maintain safe visibility across the full windshield during normal winter driving conditions represents a serious safety defect. Additionally, I have found multiple reports from other Honda owners describing the same issue, indicating this may be a broader problem affecting this model. Given the severity of the visibility obstruction and the potential risk to driver and passenger safety, I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated and addressed.

Summary
Just purchased this vehicle used from a business in Moyock, NC. The mileage at purchase was 92,860. We checked Carfax and it showed two previous owners and had a steady maintenance history. On the way home (2 hour drive) and after the vehicle had warmed up it started showing signs of transmission problems. This was not noticeable on the test drive. The RPMs skyrocketed, the car went into neutral, once we got it back into gear it would hardly accelerate. It was a long long drive home! We took it to our local mechanic and must replace the transmission at a cost of $7,000. We will not use the manufacturer's transmission product as a replacement after reading all the complaints that are so similar to ours. Definitely not what we were expecting to have to do within a week of the purchase. There could have been injuries if my wife had not been following me and knew something was wrong when the vehicle slowed down significantly. No one was injured, except for our pride and wallet.
