Summary

For the past seven months, my vehicle‘s location settings have been off. It has been to the dealership multiple times and is connected to satellite, but is unable to show the proper location for the car. While I am driving, I am often unable to use my cell phones Apple or Google Maps because the phone’s location services are off. As soon as I exit the car, my phone is able to find the correct location. I am so tired of getting conflicting information from Volkswagen. I’ve also had glitches with the computer system, where the infotainment system will turn off and everything turns black while I’m driving, not allowing me to see my speed or anything else on the dash. This is a known issue with these vehicles, but we are not getting any support.

Vehicle Model: SONATA

Model Year: 2020

Summary

On 2/19/2026 while driving, my 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited 1.6T began making several loud explosive / popping sounds. At the same time, the fuel gauge on the display screen appeared to rapidly drop, as if the vehicle was losing gas. Immediately following this, the vehicle began to hesitate and lose power while accelerating. The hesitation felt like the engine was misfiring or struggling to maintain consistent performance. There were multiple explosive sounds before and during the hesitation. This created a major safety concern while driving and the vehicle underwent an inspection at Hyundai in Deland, FL. The service department was brief and stated they needed to keep the vehicle for repair for an unknown amount of time as the fuel tank expanded. No further information was provided at that time.

Vehicle Model: F-150

Model Year: 2018

Summary

My 2018 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission is experiencing severe slipping, delayed engagemen (1-2, 3-4), and erratic shifting. Upon inspection, I found significant gold glitter-like metal shavings in the transmission fluid/oil pan, indicating internal wear or failure of components. These symptoms create safety concerns including hesitation or loss of power during acceleration, potential sudden surges or jerks, and risk of the vehicle not responding properly in traffic or when merging, which could lead to crashes, injuries, or being stranded. I have not repaired this yet but will be replacing the transmission soon.
