Summary

I purchased the vehicle above used on 4/22/2024 with roughly 70,000 miles on it. At 121,000 miles I lost the reverse gear in the transmission and the vehicle displayed 2 code P0736 and P0792. I call my local Chrysler dealership and inform him of the situation, and the service manage advise me of a recall 44A / NHTSA 23V-301 and asks for the VIN. He tells me that the recall has been completed on the vehicle and the cost to fix (replace the transmission) the vehicle will cost me about $4,000.00. I read the recall notice, and it states the vehicle effected had roughly 133,000 miles. The recall must have been closed by the previous owner but that does not change the fact that the manufactures initial repair did not cure the problem being that my vehicle had the catastrophic failure close to when the manufacture stated the problem in the recall. There are many owners of the same vehicle out there that will attest to the transmission failure on these vehicles. I would hope your department will take a serious look into this matter and hold the manufacture accountable and reimburse the cost of the repairs to the owners.

Summary

After 45 days of purchasing the SUV I notice the front grille was checking and flaking. Report it to the dealership and Hyundai. They said it was caused by "out influence". So they didn't cover it. After several attempts back and forth with dealership they finally agreed to cover the replacement front grille. This is an on going issue with these grilles. The new grille is starting to do the same thing. Many Hyundai palisade customers on the forums are talking about this issue!

Summary

When I was pulling out of my driveway heading out of the neighborhood. Approaching the stop sign I applied my SUV brakes and it fail. I had to push the neutral button to take it out of gear. My current speed was approximately 25 to 30 mph. I was heading towards a ditch and almost crashed into the ditch. Took the car to the dealership. The dealership inspected and the intake vacuum line that controls the brakes fail part was defective. Dealership had to order the part. It took them 20 days to get my SUV repaired and back to me. Part was covered under warranty.

Summary

Spongy brakes, constant pumping of brakes to aid in stoping but check this out! In 4x4 mode Low 4x4 brake failure is almost 90%! I must mash the brakes as the brake peddle falls to the floor, then wait, brace and pray truck comes to come to a stop!!!!

Summary

While in a parking lot, the clutch pedal suddenly lost all pressure and remained stuck to the floor, rendering the vehicle unable to shift gears. While this occurred at parked car , a sudden loss of gear engagement at highway speeds would have caused a catastrophic loss of motive power in high-speed traffic. Furthermore, this vehicle utilizes a shared reservoir for both clutch and brake fluid. A major failure of the clutch slave cylinder seals can lead to rapid fluid loss or air ingestion into the shared hydraulic system, potentially compromising braking performance. The dealership confirmed the internal clutch slave cylinder failed prematurely at only 38,000 miles. Because the part is internal to the housing, a full transmission removal was required, resulting in a total repair cost of $5,600. Despite the safety implications of a shared hydraulic failure and the extremely low mileage, Toyota has refused to cover the full cost. No warning lights or symptoms appeared prior to this sudden failure.

Summary

This is a 2019 Ford Edge in great condition. I just purchased the vehicle with roughly 90000 miles on it. After roughly 2 weeks of driving, I noticed the vehicle struggles to get up to speed, and the gears shift roughly, especially after a cold start. Additionally, while driving, the gears would struggle to downshift, staying at a higher RPM than it should, such as being stuck at 4000 RPM while driving 30mph, and it would stay like this for about 1-2 minutes. Additionally, from time to time, the reverse gear will not engage at all, this is a major safety concern, God forbid I am somewhere I need to back out from and there is obstruction in the front, only God knows what trouble I would be in. There have been recalls for such cars. It is unfortunate that Ford has not opened an active recall for others with this issue. Please help, this car costs too much, and I fear for my wife and newborn's safety with transmission issues.

I had my car towed into bmw dealership for a vanos recall repair,it went in for the repair the repair was "done" but before picking it up they told me they were unable to qc/start my engine to verify the repair claiming that because my camshaft position sensor was removed (it was removed to ultimately figure out it was the vanos system that failed)and that my car had no battery at the time of the repair they could and would not start my engine to verify the repair and that they turned it over by hand only,upon them releasing the car back to me I brought a battery and started my car and left the dealership within ten miles my engine failed and locked up due to oil starvation,I had it towed back immediately and explained what happened,and they refuse to take any responsibility for my car failing on the road while driving cause my engine to smoke and push the smoke into the cab mid traffic,this happened In July of 2025 and I am still going back and forth trying to get them to take responsibility and replace my engine,they did not follow proper procedures to ensure my vehicle was safe for pickup violating safety standards
