Summary
Car seat was purchased for CPST certification course, it was stored in the box it was shipped in 2/10/26. Upon using the seat on 2/13/26, it was noticed that the entire recline indicator moved within the shell of the seat (a video can be provided, unable to upload here). Because of this movement, an accurate reading of the indicator cannot be achieved. Upon closer inspection, we realized the plastic recline indicator holder on the underside of the shell, had broken at one of the screws holding it in place, leading to the one side dropping down and giving the incorrect recline reading (attached picture). The seat is available for inspection upon request. An inaccurate recline indicator can cause the car seat and thus the child to be either too reclined or too upright while sitting in the vehicle which can lead to separate safety issues. Too upright and cause breathing capability concerns, while too reclined can cause the car seat to not respond in the event of a crash as it should. The car seat was inspected by several Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructors (CPST-I) to verify they issue. No other inspections were conducted. Vehicle Make: KIA
Vehicle Model: SOUL
Model Year: 2015
Summary
My 2015 Kia Soul (VIN: [XXX] ) experienced sudden catastrophic engine failure: loud pop, knocking, and immediate loss of power. The engine has a hole in piston #2 and a hole in valve #3. This is a known safety defect included in the Hyundai/Kia Theta II engine settlement. My vehicle has KSDS update installed, but Kia and the dealership are denying warranty repair unless a specific code (P1326) or rod-bearing damage is found. The engine failure occurred without warning and placed me in danger. Kia's refusal to cover a known safety defect leaves an unsafe vehicle unrepaired. I was test driving the vehicle after some and as I was test, driving it, the steering lot up on me. Luckily, I was entering a residential area when it occurred down the street from my residency; in which I was able to drive it to my residency, during that short ride, you could smell a burning smell coming out along with some crackling noises. I had to get the vehicle towed a week later to the mechanic shop where they fix one of my engine problems and verified that I needed a new power steering unit and gave me a quote, I couldn’t afford the word and started doing research and came across the recall for the power steering within my vehicle year, make and model. I replaced the power steering unit, but I’m having a difficult time celebrating the system..

Summary
I was driving down the road with the cruise set at 60 mph when I came over the top of a hill and I started to decend down the hill if felt like my truck had down shifted and the back tires locked up and screeched a little bit then a big bang happened and had no more drive gear as I hit the gas it just reved the motor up and didn’t move. Upon further inspection I pulled the rear differential cover off and my spider gears and the shaft holding the gears in place was snapped in 2 different places, chips in the gears. My transfer case chain was snapped in half and my transmission had hard shift from first to second gear and a loud buzzing noise. . I took the truck to my mechanic and hooked a scanner up to it and took it for a test run. As it was driving a sensor was telling the truck to shift into park as it was shifting from first to second or second to third causing a hard shift and buzzing noise and eventually losing all connectivity to the transmission and internals as well. I have sense replaced the whole rear axel, transfer case myself with used parts and is currently in the shop swapping transmissions as I needed my vehicle to continue working. Safety of myself and or others was definitely at risk when my rear tires locked up the rear end could have slid out cause me to wreck and possibly wreck into someone else. There was also no warning lights or anything on my dash before this incident occurred.
