Summary

My car gave me a "Check electrical vehicle system" message, which I have seen online may mean a problem with the ICCU. As the dealership is close - about five miles from my home, on residential roads - I decided to drive there. The car lost power very quickly and then died in the road shortly after leaving my driveway. Thankfully I wasn't on a busy street or an intersection and was able to safely get it to the side of the road, but if it had died while driving at a higher speed it would have been very dangerous.

Manufacturer Name: Toyota Motor Corporation

Vehicle Make: TOYOTA

Vehicle Model: TUNDRA

Model Year: 2026

Summary

The engine in my 2026 Toyota Tundra has significant throttle delay/lag when its cold - even if I let it warm up - it still has significant delay in throttle response - the truck has poor light throttle response and then lurches (even with the most minute progressive throttle input). This almost caused an accident where I nearly got T-boned because the vehicle crept a bit and then suddenly lurched quickly. The vehicle was also hesitant to reach 60mph (even though it was warmed up) after about 10 minutes of driving the vehicle started operating normally. I have a concern for safety everytime I drive this vehicle.

Manufacturer Name: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)

Vehicle Make: JEEP

Vehicle Model: GRAND CHEROKEE

Model Year: 2023

Summary

Since shortly after taking delivery of my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, I have repeatedly experienced intermittent safety-related malfunctions involving sudden steering stiffness and braking intervention. From early in ownership, the vehicle would unexpectedly engage what I later learned is the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system. During these events, the steering would feel locked or restricted and the brakes would apply without driver input. In order to restore normal operation, I was required to pull over, turn the vehicle off, and restart it. These concerns were reported multiple times to the dealership over the course of ownership. On January 13, 2026, while traveling at approximately 60 mph on the highway in normal traffic conditions, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion without warning. At that time, the instrument cluster displayed a “HYBRID / ELECTRIC MODE UNAVAILABLE” message along with a wrench indicator light. The vehicle immediately began losing power and was unable to maintain highway speed. As the vehicle slowed unexpectedly in active traffic, two tractor-trailers were approaching from behind. The sudden loss of propulsion created an immediate risk of a rear-end collision. The driver was forced to maneuver across lanes while the vehicle was losing power in order to reach the shoulder safely. The loss of propulsion and warning messages occurred simultaneously. The vehicle was towed to the authorized dealership, where it remains. The dealership has indicated they have been unable to duplicate the failure. These recurring electrical, braking, steering, and hybrid propulsion malfunctions present serious safety concerns, particularly when occurring at highway speeds or in traffic. Due to severe weather conditions, the vehicle was not towed until January 29, 2026. The vehicle was removed from service following the incident and subsequently transported to the authorized dealership, where it remains.

Summary

The 78C recall associated with Jeep Wrangler 4xe's poses a great safety risk to myself, other 4xe owners, and other drivers on the road as it can lead to, "catastrophic engine failure, which can result in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion." While Stellantis did notify us of this recall, it has already been 3 months since the recall was announced. The initial recall letter stated that the fix was estimated in Q2 of 2026, so another 2-4 months from now, which would be a total of 5-7 months from start to finish. We have not heard any updates on when this remedy may actually come. In my opinion, this is not remedying the issue in a timely manner and it is nerve wracking knowing this could happen whenever I get in my vehicle.

Summary

Back on October 10th, 2025, I took the software update related to the A7C recall. On October 11th, my vehicle became totally bricked and undriveable due to this update. I had it towed to a dealership where they supposedly "fixed" it by rolling the software back. However, my recall letter stated that this was not a permanent fix and there currently is none. It has been 4 months since this began and there is STILL no remedy or any updates on when a remedy may be available. This recall poses a dangerous risk for myself, other owners of 4xe's, and other drivers on the road as sudden loss of propulsion can lead to crashes. Submitting this report because while we were notified of this recall, Stellantis has not remedied it in a timely manner.
