Manufacturer Name: Chicco USA, Inc.

Vehicle Make: CHICCO

Vehicle Model: NEXTFIT

Model Year: 9999

Summary

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a Chicco NextFit car seat. The anchor tab on my child’s car seat has become visibly stressed and appears to be failing after only two years of normal use. This is extremely concerning as this component is critical to properly securing the seat and ensuring my child’s safety in the event of a crash. I contacted the manufacturer and provided photos. They confirmed that the tab is stressed but did not offer an explanation for how this could happen or provide any investigation or corrective action. The product is discontinued, and I was told I am outside of the warranty period, which does not address the safety concern. This appears to be a potential structural or material failure and could put children at risk if the seat does not perform as intended during a collision. I believe this issue should be investigated to determine whether this is an isolated defect or a broader safety problem affecting other consumers. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed for possible defect or recall to protect child passenger safety.

Vehicle Model: CAMRY

Summary

2021 Toyota Camry Transmission failure. On November 28th, 2025, my car started doing a hard shudder. I pulled over, then turned my car off. When I started my car back up, it would only drive in reverse but not forward. I had my car towed to a Toyota dealership and explained to the man at the front desk what happened. The guy went to talk to the mechanic then came back and told me that the mechanic said that there is no need to do a diagnostic test and that I just need to get another transmission. Toyota never bothered to look at my car but gave me a quote for almost $8,000, then preceeded to tell me that they may not even be able to get the transmission at all. Now, I have a car that I'm still paying for and can't drive.

Summary

See attached document. Dear Jeep Customer Care and Chrysler Capital,I am writing to formally request the termination of my current lease agreement for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, VIN: [XXX], due to the severe safety risk posed by NHTSA Recall 25V-74 l, concerning the high-voltage battery fire hazard.Due to the severity of this unaddressed safety hazard, I am unable to use the vehicle for its intended purpose. This significant safety defect renders inoperable as designed and intended for use, but more importantly the vehicle is unsafe and unsuitable for normal use, as it risks fire while driving or parked as stated in your recall notice.Your own notices further indicate not charge it as designed for normal function.Furthermore, I live in a townhome surrounded by other families now put at risk and cannot safely park this vehicle outside due to the extreme fire risk, making it impractical and unsafe for my living situation. This also puts others at risk when parked in parking structures at the airport that I frequent on a weekly basis. When the same recall occurred in late 2024, I waited for four months without resolution as Jeep developed a remedy. With the new recall, I immediately contacted Jeep customer service, who informed me on December 3, 2025, that no solution is currently available and none is anticipated until late Ql 2026 (as documented during my call with Riana, case #[XXX]).I was advised to contact Chrysler Capital regarding a potential lease suspension due to the seriousness of the recall. At 11am EST, I called Chrysler Capital and spoke with Maren (ID774178). After discussing my living situation and concerns about driving an unsafe vehicle with my [XXX], Maren placed me on hold and subsequently returned to inform me he had obtained approval fornot just a lease suspension, but a full early return with no further financial liability. He recommended that I visit my local dealer promptly to process the early lease return and advised me to discontinue further payments. Before concluding our conversation, I confir

Manufacturer Name: Kia America, Inc.

Vehicle Model: SORENTO

Model Year: 2020

Summary

To the Office of Defects Investigation, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding NHTSA Recall 22V703000 (Kia Recall SC249) involving my 2020 Kia Sorento (VIN: [XXX] ). This recall identifies a fire risk due to a potential electrical short in the tow hitch harness module. The recall notice specifically warns that a vehicle fire may occur while parked or driving. After receiving the recall notification, we made multiple attempts to schedule the required repair with Pompano Kia, the authorized dealership in our area. Despite repeated efforts, we were not provided with a confirmed repair appointment, and the recall remained incomplete. On [1-19-2026], before the recall remedy was performed, the vehicle caught fire while being driven on a highway in Florida. The vehicle became fully engulfed and was declared a total loss. Law enforcement and/or fire services responded. The incident appears consistent with the fire risk described in the recall. Following the incident, we visited the dealership to report the fire and the unresolved recall. We were told the matter would be reviewed and that we would receive a follow-up call. No follow-up was received. Attempts to contact the dealership through publicly listed email addresses resulted in delivery failure notices. According to NHTSA records, this recall affects tens of thousands of vehicles nationwide. We are concerned about: • Timeliness and availability of recall repairs • Dealership accessibility and communication • Risk to consumers when recall remedies are not completed before failure occurs We also attempted to consult several attorneys regarding this incident. We were advised that due to the volume of recall-related fire cases involving this manufacturer, representation may not be feasible unless severe bodily injury is involved. This further raises concern about the scale and seriousness of the issue. We respectfully request that NHTSA review: • Whether recall 22V703000 is being remedied INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

Summary

Sun Roof has leaked. The Sun roof leaked a considerable amount of water and it came through the head liner around the ceiling mounted control panel as well as the back of the car. This is the second time it has happened and I have been told it is not covered under warranty. Through online blogs and forums I have found that this is a common issue with 2021 and newer tahoes and suburbans. And that is a reoccurring problem that is commonly not fixed properly by the dealers This causes a safety and health issue as well as an unacceptable vehicle defect. 1.) From a safety standpoint, if I am driving down the highway and a large amount of water starts pouring out of the headliner on the driver it causes a major distraction that could lead to high speed accident. 2.) From a health issue, regular water leaks could lead to vehicle mold and water damage. I have children, if they become susceptible to the mold it could cause health issues for me or my children. 3.) The water that pours out of the ceiling lands on the dash electronics which could lead to more vehicle issues by damaging electronic controls. It is my opinion that this is a major vehicle defect and something should be done by the manufacturer to correct it. I have made a complaint to the Chevy Customer service under reference #890 780 85

Summary

The ICCU failed while I was driving my car on a 50 mph road. Check electrical system warning lights appeared. Maximum speed was reduced to 19mph and my car became a road hazard for other cars on the road. I managed to pull off the road once I found a safe spot. After visiting the Kia dealership, the problem was confirmed as a failed ICCU (Integrated Charging and Control Unit) and replaced under warranty. No problems appeared prior to the failure. Vehicle was required to be towed to the repair facility.
