Summary

When driving my car, you can hear wind noise like the windows are down and it's loud enough to where I can't hear my kids most of the time when they need something from the backseats. These two recalls have been in place since May 2025 and there is still no remedy to fix this almost a year later. I have not taken it to a dealership but plan to this Friday 02/27/26.

Summary

I was pumping gas and DURING gas started pouring out by the rear tire flap. It was not a whole tank but a large amount. And the next day also noticed a puddle where gas tank lies. This has happened in the past but sporadically and not all of the gas comes out. Also, there is a safety recall on rear fuel feed pipe leaks AND fuel pump motor but supposedly not on this particular vehicle year/VIN.

Manufacturer Name: Tesla, Inc.

Vehicle Make: TESLA

Vehicle Model: MODEL S

Model Year: 2016

Summary

While driving in traffic, the vehicle displayed warnings stating “Unable to drive — Pull over safely.” The vehicle progressively lost power and became unable to propel itself, requiring me to stop in traffic. Additional warnings indicated reduced acceleration and performance. The vehicle remained powered (screens and electronics active) but could no longer drive. Tesla later diagnosed a high-voltage battery failure and provided an estimate for full battery replacement. The sudden loss of propulsion in traffic created a safety hazard because the vehicle could not accelerate or continue moving with traffic.

Manufacturer Name: Kia America, Inc.

Vehicle Make: KIA

Vehicle Model: SPORTAGE

Model Year: 2017

Summary

The vehicle has had recurring drivability problems since at least June 2024, including repeated check engine light illumination and severe loss of acceleration. On 06/19/2024, dealership service records document that the check engine light was on and the vehicle would not accelerate past 40 mph, and the check engine light was flashing. More recently, while driving on the interstate at highway speed, the vehicle suddenly lost power and dropped speed, forcing me to pull over on the side of the road for safety. This created a dangerous situation and risk of collision. The problem continues despite multiple service visits. A dealership service visit on 06/05/2025 documents stored diagnostic trouble code P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold), but the dealership stated no further repairs were recommended and no repair was performed. This issue is recurring and creates a serious safety hazard due to sudden loss of power while driving. Manufacturer Name: Kia America, Inc.

Vehicle Make: KIA

Vehicle Model: OPTIMA

Model Year: 2015

Summary

The vehicle started making a loud knocking/tapping noise while driving. The vehicle has randomly acted as if it was going to stall while driving prior to the knocking. Instantly the car was brought home and parked. A mechanic has assessed the vehicle and states the noise we are hearing is the rods. We also contacted another mechanic and they advised us to look up the VIN due to a recall for 2015 Kia optima’s and the failure of this exact issue but we learned it was only for hybrid models even though this model has had the same exact issues as that model. I then see there have already been complaints made for my same issue and model yet no recall campaign has been initiated. I am fearful to drive or try to sell this vehicle because what if someone else drives it and it does stall again during driving and injury or death occurs.

Vehicle Model: G70

Model Year: 2021

Summary

2021 Genesis G70 engine shutting off at stops, often linked to the Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system or, in some cases, unexpected stalls. Possibly the automatic transmission's calibration leading to rough stops, or needing to restart the car if the ISG fails to restart the engine upon releasing the brake. 2.24.26:The vehicle stopped running and would not restart a busy intersection which involves my safety and other drivers. This has happened a couple times and I have replaced the fob batteries several times just in case that was the problem. It has not been inspected because it was just involved in another incident yesterday and I have been only making it to work as I am afraid to drive it. The warning came up on the dash after the car shut off. The vehicle can be picked up and inspected at any time. I do not have another vehicle or rental option.
