Summary

The windshield wipers regularly come on automatically when it is not raining, sometimes at a very rapid speed. I have unselected in the settings the option for them to come on automatically but the problem still persists. When the windshield is dry the wipers make a very loud dragging noise and since this comes at random unexpected times it is quite startling as well as an annoyance. I have taken the vehicle in to have the censor assessed that is incorrectly detecting the rain and told that everything appeared correctly but that it was a known issue for this make and model vehicle.

Summary

vehicle will not charge properly due to ICCU failure, causing it to not charge the 12v battery which could have caused it to run out of battery at any moment causing the car to stop operating while driving which could have caused an accident, particularly because I do mostly highway driving. The dealership has confirmed the ICCU failure. While it supposedly got the previous recall fixes, that did not prevent it from failing.

Summary

The component that failed appears to be the hybrid propulsion and charging system, including the high-voltage battery management system and/or integrated charging electronics. The vehicle will not accept a charge from any home or public charging source. The high-voltage battery was replaced approximately one year ago; however, the charging failure persists. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. In addition to the charging failure, the vehicle displayed drivetrain malfunction and start/stop malfunction warnings. While driving on the highway at normal speed, the vehicle lost power and stopped, creating a hazardous situation in active traffic. This sudden loss of propulsion placed my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk, as surrounding vehicles were traveling at highway speeds. Prior to the failure, warning messages appeared intermittently, including charging system faults and start/stop malfunction alerts. These warnings began approximately one year ago around the time the charging issue started. The vehicle was previously serviced and the high-voltage battery was replaced; however, the underlying issue was not corrected. The root cause is UNKNOWN, but the symptoms suggest a failure within the hybrid control system, charging module, DC-DC converter, or related electrical components. The failure has been persistent and unresolved. I am concerned that defects within the hybrid propulsion system may lead to additional sudden loss of power events.

Manufacturer Name: Toyota Motor Corporation

Vehicle Make: TOYOTA

Vehicle Model: COROLLA

Model Year: 2020

Summary

The clutch slave cylinder failed at 48,000 miles. On the freeway, I had difficulty shifting into gear and I had cars passing me at high speeds, putting my life and others' lives at risk. This part defect is due to the plastic clutch slave cylinder failing. This common issue is well-documented by numerous other owners, with the part failing before the routine clutch maintenance cycle. My car was inspected by an independent mechanic, who said the lack of clutch pressure is due to the clutch slave cylinder failing. The worst part is that there were no warning lamps or messages before this happened. Toyota is claiming there is no recalls for this part, whic his astounding because the clutch is essential for the 6speed transmission.
