Manufacturer Name: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)

Vehicle Make: HONDA

Vehicle Model: CIVIC

Model Year: 2019

Summary

The stirring wheel consistently sticks and jerks in speeds 35 and over. The steering wheel constantly has to be adjusted to drive in a lane. It is unsettling situation. While driving my 2019 Honda Civic , the steering wheel frequently sticks or feels like it slips when making slight adjustments or turning. This is especially noticeable at highway speeds and during low-speed turns. It requires additional force to correct the steering, leading to overcorrection and a delayed return to the center position. The issue creates a safety concern as it impairs precise vehicle control and is most concerning while making corrections at highway speeds. Multiple owners online are reporting the same symptoms, and there are indications that this may be caused by a faulty EPS gearbox or steering rack. When driving at highway speeds steering sticks. Steering wheel does not move without more effort than usual. Being unable to make small adjustments freely means I must constantly drive with two hands in order to drive straight forward. When I noticed this I searched Honda recalls and found the exact same issue is being recalled for later models. This is a safety related issue because it prevents me from centering the vehicle in the lane. Manufacturer Name: Hyundai Motor America

Vehicle Make: HYUNDAI

Vehicle Model: PALISADE

Model Year: 2020

Summary

I am reporting a safety concern involving repeated engine stalling while driving my 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The vehicle has stalled a total of seven times during normal operation. Most of the incidents occurred while slowing down or stopped at intersections and traffic lights. In these situations, the engine suddenly shut off without warning. I was forced to immediately shift the vehicle into park and restart the engine to continue driving. The check engine light did illuminate in connection with this issue. These incidents create a serious safety hazard, as sudden engine shutdown in active traffic increases the risk of rear-end collision. The loss of engine power occurs unexpectedly and without sufficient warning. The vehicle has been inspected, and I was informed that the issue may involve internal engine malfunction requiring major repairs. Because this vehicle has experienced multiple unexpected stalls in traffic, I am submitting this complaint due to the significant safety risk posed by sudden engine failure during operation.

Summary

Upon startup rough idle and check engine light came on. Mechanic confirmed cylinder head thinning causing fluid leak into first cylinder. A mechanical note verifies but Ford won't issue a recall. Apparently Ford has know this for years with Ecoboost engines. I don't want to become a victim of vehicle dying in the middle of traffic. Have seen several complaints from Ford owners with no fixes by Ford.

Summary

I only have about 45K miles on my car. I began to hear a rattling sound while vehicle is idling and more pronounced with the air conditioning on. I took it to the Ford service department at the dealership where I bought it and was told it was a cracked engine flex plate and it would be a $3000 cost to repair. I was extremely surprised at such an expensive fix for such low mileage and looking online I found a Ford customer satisfaction program 22N12 for this exact issue. I checked and my car was indeed manufactured at the plant in Hermosillo, MX covered in the program. However I was told that I am not covered because it is for the 2.0L engine and not the 1.5L engine. It seems to be more than a coincidence that I would have this issue on this model of car from this manufacturing plant. There were no warning lights of any kind that went off. I have seen that this could have been a major issue had it went unrepaired and caused a major safety issue. I am unfortunately being forced to pay for this out of pocket on such a new car but also this issue is clearly not only on the 2.0L vehicles and the recall/customer satisfaction program should be expanded to include 1.5L

Summary

The engine failed and they lied about the reason of failure. I know this because I've changed the oil myself since 5,000 miles. Every 5k the oil and filter was changed, idled for a few minutes and shut down. Followed by a 10 minute timer and a oil level check. The Jeep was around 24900 miles when I did the oil change for that interval. One week later I took it to Jeep as it had an oil leak from one of the valve covers since around 20,000 miles. They stated that they found metal slurry in the oil and they needed to replace my engine under warranty. The said the reason of failure was oil starvation. They lied and I think it's to avoid a massive recall on the 3.6 liter that was in my Jeep.
