Summary

My son was sitting in our Silverado waiting for the truck to warm up before he left for work. As he was sitting there both driver and passenger side air bags deployed. It hit my son in the head. The truck has never been in an accident. It doesn't have a branded title. There doesn't seem to be a logical explanation for why this happened.

Vehicle Model: ROGUE

Summary

My 2023 Nissan Rogue SV engine failed on February 8, 2026. It is currently not on the recall list, but has the same engine as on the recall list. I have contacted Nissan multiple times with no help. My Nissan has 108000 miles and I should have a documented case open with Nissan now. Nissan should repair my engine. I spent $24000 on this vehicle one year ago. This is unacceptable. The vehicle is sitting at the shop with cylinder three filling up with fluid. The Rogue never showed any check engine lights or anything. It just failed. It has the 1.5 liter 3 cylinder turbo engine. The vehicle started shaking. I parked the vehicle then it would not start back. Had it towed to shop to diagnose issue. They confirmed castastropic engine failure.

Vehicle Model: LEAF

Model Year: 2022

Summary

My 2022 Nissan LEAF (VIN: [XXX] , approximately 24,000 miles) is subject to an active safety recall involving the high‑voltage battery and risk of fire during DC fast charging. This includes NHTSA Recall Campaign No. 25V‑655 (Nissan Recall No. R25C8), which relates to battery overheating during Level 3 (DC fast) charging. Related prior campaigns include 24V‑700 affecting similar Nissan LEAF battery systems. Nissan has instructed owners not to use Level 3 fast charging but has failed to provide a timely repair or firm remedy date. I have been waiting [X months] with no confirmed resolution. The restriction significantly limits vehicle range and usability, increases charging time, and creates ongoing inconvenience and safety concerns. Despite the seriousness of the defect, Nissan has not offered a loaner vehicle, compensation, or alternative remedy. Manufacturer Name: General Motors, LLC

Vehicle Make: CHEVROLET

Vehicle Model: SILVERADO 1500

Model Year: 2020

Summary

During an extreme cold event in Interior Alaska (–44°F), the vehicle experienced a sudden emissions‑system failure that triggered an EPA‑mandated Limp Mode, limiting the vehicle to 5 MPH on high‑speed highways. This created an immediate life‑safety hazard because it was impossible to maintain a safe speed or exit the roadway due to snow berms. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed “Service Emission System” warnings and multiple DTCs related to the reductant heaters and sensors. A dealership technician later confirmed a “burnt pin” at the reductant pump connector, consistent with thermal‑electrical overload. This failure mode matches GM’s TSB 21‑NA‑006, describing connector overheating in cold climates. After the repair, the vehicle continued to exhibit safety‑critical symptoms, including harsh downshifts, delayed engagement, and jerking during deceleration, consistent with Recall 26V083000 (rear‑wheel lock‑up risk). The vehicle also continues to emit an electrical burning odor in cold temperatures, consistent with Recall N192206310 (block‑heater fire risk). The only GM dealership in the region issued a “Termination of Business Relationship,” preventing access to all recall and warranty repairs. This has created a 321‑mile “Service Desert,” making it impossible to obtain federally mandated recall remedies. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate due to unresolved transmission, electrical, and propulsion issues.

The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that while driving and depressing the brake pedal to come to a complete stop, the vehicle continued to accelerate unintendedly. The contact continuously depressed the brake pedal and shifted to neutral(N), and the vehicle responded as intended. The failure only occurred while the cruise control was activated but not set. The contact previously owned another 2011 Toyota Rav4 vehicle, which also experienced the failure. An independent mechanic informed the contact that the manufacturer had previously provided a remedy for the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

Summary

Bad factory alignment caused OEM tires (Falken Wildpeak A/T, 265/60 R20) to wear prematurely. Tread depth reduced to 3/32 on all 4 tires at 10,500 miles. Clearly a safety risk as no reasonable person would expect new tires to last only 10,000 miles and; therefore, likely not check tread depth presenting significant safety risk in any inclement weather.

Summary

I am a disabled veteran reporting a failed recall remedy and a dangerous safety defect in a 2024 Dodge Hornet GT. This vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Recall 25V246000 (Rear Visibility System), where the display module was reportedly replaced/updated. On January 17, 2026, while driving at slow speeds, the center infotainment screen suffered a total failure and went blank. This failure resulted in the immediate loss of the rearview camera and all primary safety/vehicle interfaces, which is a direct violation of FMVSS No. 111. I provided video evidence of the total screen failure to the service department at Southern Dodge Jeep Ram Alfa Romeo in Norfolk Virginia. While they confirmed the failure occurred based on my footage, they stated they could not replicate the issue during their inspection and informed me there was "nothing they could do." They refused to keep me in a safe loaner vehicle, forcing me to choose between driving a fundamentally unsafe vehicle with my young child or incurring massive personal expense for a rental. Due to the manufacturer’s inability to provide a permanent remedy for a federally recalled safety defect, I was forced to sell the vehicle at a significant loss. I am filing this to urge an investigation into the effectiveness of the current remedy for Recall 25V246000.
